I know this has been done before but...beautiful £800,000 house in Marlow, stunning but y'know -just not quite good enough for them.

Why is everyone on that programme so up themselves? It's lovely house, you are very, very fortunate, buy it and piss off.

What cocoachannel said. Doesn't matter what your budget is, you need to "feel" it is right for you - be it your first hovel flat or your house after winning a fortune in some way. I love the chance to nose round lots of houses without having to leave my living room.

If you've bought a property in London at the right time, have it a while and then sell up to buy elsewhere in the country, you could probably have quite a tidy sum.

Perhaps you should derive some satisfaction from the fact that no matter how much money you have, you always have to make compromises when buying a house.
