The weather has been a little odd just going from bright to throwing it down, maybe we have had our summer

Hope things get better quickly (chest cold) as we have a houseful of guests coming this weekend.

Poor little guy just keeps coughing, couldn't even get rest last night. :(

What have you all got planned for this weekend? It is supposed to snow here, miserable rainy wet snow, so it looks like we're going to be stuck indoors with a houseful. I hope everyone escapes unscathed!

Oh well, the dishwasher started to work again and then stopped. Dh will look at it at the weekend then order one if all else fails.

We are going to see 'Mirror Mirror' at the cinema and for a pizza tomorrow and a very lazy day planned for Sunday - we are all shattered this week.

valium ~ i feel your pain, my diswasher broke down Christmas week
so i was stuck without it all over xmas until i bought my new one
at the end of jan. PITA.

Well i'm having a bit of a rubbish time lately, lots of bad luck.
My car has had it :-( it broke down on me on Thursday just as i was pulling out
onto a main road. So there i was in the middle of the road being yelled at & beeped
until dh arrived 15 minutes later
we had the car towed to my mechanic who has told me the crank shaft has broken &
and gone up through the engine :-( after doing some research it turns out it's a design fault
in my car and it should have been recalled. The main dealer though is not hopeful that i will
get any help in getting a new engine fitted. I 've been quoted
4.5000+vat to fix the car :-( .Going to get legal advice as the crankshaft should be made of tempered steel but the one in my car is not.

I know you are probably not Elmo. That sounds awful, I really hope you get it sorted, my other half is a mechanic, he just made a grimacing face when I told him, so I know it's bad, they best bloody sort it for you

Hello everyone else :)

The AA are taking the car to the dealer tomorrow morning for them to examine the damage :( my car is 2005 so 7yrs old now but it only has 16,000 miles on the clock and a full service history so this really shouldn't have happened to it imo . There's LOTS of forums on the net about the same thing happening to other people with the same make car as mine so i'm hoping that will strengthen my case with the dealer.
My brilliant , wonderful dad has come to the rescue and lent us his car until we can get mine sorted so at least i can get the kids to school [7.5 mile trip each way with no bus route]
