YABU. They look great on most people and neatly bridge the gap between hat (a bit middle aged and formal) and nothing (which i think can look like not enough effort for some occasions).

YANBU. Sorry to those that have just bought one but they are, IMO, completely pointless and entirely ridiculous.

They are really expensive for a hairband with 'stuff' on. Reminds me of deeley boppers.

They're also cheap to buy from Accesorize and pretty easy to make / add to.

I like the name. It conjures up an image of people so distracted by staring at a load of beaded feathers that they are unable to do anything else. Like they'd follow you around all day just glued to your head. Like the fascinator itself really.

Perhaps I could turn a pair of specs into a fascinator....definitely possible.

I'm off to make one from the detrius from my sewing basket, bet I can do it in 10 minutes and sell it to someone on etsy for £50
