TO NEVER NEVER use Johm lewis again

and to warn you and every one I know not to.
They lie!
I used them as thought it would be hassle free.
I phoned them to make sure they can deliver and fit in a timely fashion rather than buy blind online
Order 2 days to come in, ok.
Deliver and fit a few days after that - great can wait for peace of mind.
Then can definately Guarantee you will have it week of 19th Dec.
Then sorry xmas and all that, it will be 4 of Jan.
Yes of course we will compensate but wait and see if you are happy with the washing machine first.
Well I no longer trust JL or believe a word their staff say and will never buy a toy, garment or anything ever again from them.
I might as well buy online.
Free delivery, same price and free returns within 10 days.
It was only a physical store and peace of mind that made me choose JL.

Sorry, my experience of them is that they are top class nearly all of the time. You must have been very unlucky :(

i have shopped with them for years, never had a problem.years ago i needed a buggy at a few days notice,they bent over backwards to get it for me.they also priced a microlite up at 99.00,incorrectly of course,but let me have it.shit happens,its not the end of the world.

That sounds incredibly unusual for JL and I am sure that if you kicked up a fuss they would sort it pronto.
They are usually brilliant.

yes i agree kick up a fuss, i have always used them for electrical good and baby equipement, price match, always happy to order stuff in for me and their customer service has always been first class. sorry you had a bad experience.

I had a bad experience with a washing machine recently which was supposed to be delivered within a week which suddenly they couldn't guarantee delivery in 3 weeks. I cancelled it in the end and got the same model the next day from somewhere else.

John Lewis are fine. Have had excellent service from them. Couldn't speak for "Johm lewis", mind. Sound like a piss-poor imitation. ;)

we had a nightmare where a mattress was 19 days late. They sent us the wrong one first, we queried it and they admitted they didn't have the one we wanted in. WTF?

Never again.

We've only ever had brilliant service, both in-store and online, with great delivery staff too. You've been very unlucky and they need to know how disgruntled you are.

I have only once had a problem with a John Lewis delivery and i buy a LOT from them. They compensated me so well that I forgave them Smile I hope they do the same for you, in fact you should insist that they do.

I almost want shit service from them one day - can you imagine how they'd fall over themselves to compensate you? I am lucky that I can always collect in-store though

We has nothing but trouble last time we used jl. I'd still buy in store but wouldn't use thir delivery/online service if they paid me. Lousy service, rude staff.

I would never use John Lewis as I could never afford them! Or rather, I have an issue with being massively overcharged for what I can get elsewhere for a fraction of the price. All I ever used them for when I lived near one was to use their (usually clean) toilet when on a shopping trip.

Get your appliances from www.appliancesonline.co.uk. They have low prices and appliances are delivered free within a couple of days. Cancel the JL order and order tonight, you will have it by early next week.
