Would love a reason to go to London and meet some of you but I don't do Xmas. Can't you just have a party for me later Grin

MartyrStewart · 07/11/2011 23:41

Custy, I would LOVE to go - was lovely to meet you last year.

Unfortunately, I am beyond skint. But have a glass for me Smile

Tortington · 08/11/2011 00:16

lisa - can't it just a a 'do' - its in novemeber...its just an excuse to get wankered really!

and martyr, thats no excuse - theres a free drink

MOSagain · 08/11/2011 08:15

bumpety bump, come on, enough with the excuses!

Iggly · 08/11/2011 08:44

Grin I really really wanted to come but as a not well known poster who only "knows" a couple of other posters who aren't going, there's no way I'd go cos I'm chicken.
Plus I'm nearly 37 weeks pregnant and don't fancy risking being the subject of a real life MN labour....!

Tortington · 08/11/2011 08:47

OH COME ON... not having the 'i'm a shy and pregnant type' excuse heard that a million times Grin

just do it, we dont know each other - i think this is a popular misconception.

Iggly · 08/11/2011 08:51

Grin I'm not really that shy, just don't fancy passing out on my way into town. As I nearly did in boots yesterday (luckily I hadn't yet picked up any embarrassing items like mattresses maternity pads).

Tortington · 08/11/2011 09:20

err ermm..

ok then i guess i'll let you have that one

OP posts:
Iggly · 08/11/2011 09:24

I'll just have to come next year!

Akiram · 08/11/2011 09:28

I would love to come but hate the thought of travelling down on my own.
Strandedbear I'm also from east midlands (I'm a namechanger but we are friends on google+ though I haven't posted on there for ages) if you go I will!

Bellavita · 08/11/2011 09:31

Akiram & Stranded - I am travelling from the north so if I can do it you can! Grin

Martyr - forget about being skint and come to the partaaaay Grin

Fo0ffyShmooffer · 08/11/2011 09:32

I'd give DHs left nut to go but I'm far too far away and can't afford it and there just seems to be so much kids shit going on around then Sad

Akiram · 08/11/2011 09:37

Bellavita are you coming on train via any midlands stations?

rycooler · 08/11/2011 09:38

I went to a parenting forum big Xmas meet-up thingy years ago - everyone was lovely ( although I only spoke to about 6 people lol ) but tbh I was looking at my watch after about an hour Grin - after the initial "whoop whoop oh wow so you're XYZ/ jojosmum/ whatever

Akiram · 08/11/2011 09:39

What makes me nervous is that although I have been posting on here for 3 years I regularly namechange.

Bellavita · 08/11/2011 10:45

Akiram, no, sorry.

It will be a good night Grin

ChaosTrulyReigns · 08/11/2011 10:49

There will be no handsoap in the loo.

The waiters will replace the olives with sheeps eyeballs.

And all the grapes will be sour.

mumblechum1 · 08/11/2011 10:51

What time do you think it'll finish? I'll come if I can get taxi/train back at a reasonable time.

What day does it fall on?

I'd love to go and am not particularly shy (but would be mortified if I bumped into clients while there - very possible)

TheHumancatapult · 08/11/2011 10:55

i would like to come but cant due to move etc .Can we maybe look at having next years so is accessible or is it always the same place

mumblechum1 · 08/11/2011 10:56

Laurie, what on earth do you do that you'd be mortified? STD clinic? Grin
