Where is it being held in London? I have been on MN for years but haven't posted much recently but would really like to attend

nickelbabe · 12/11/2011 09:36

molly - nothing to stop you organising one - the meet-ups that we have aren't organised by MNHQ, they're organised by the bog standard members :)

And Custy - stop going on about it - you know I can't come (and I really really want to!! :( )

Maybe in the spring one, all of us who couldn't come because of having brand new babies, or being about to drop, could bring our babies to the meet-up....

jazzicats - yes it;s being held in london - the location is secret till you pay up i can tell you it is in the farringdon area

Custy we're deciding on which shoes to wear so is the venue walking distance (in slut shoes) from the travel lodge?

Tortington · 14/11/2011 00:58

absolutely not - in fact google tells me there may not be pavements Hmm

not being a londoner - i don't know, but its a good 15 min in non slut shoes

i'm cabbing it - i don't care how much rhubarb moans about it

Does anyone know a pilot coming to America who could just sort of nip me on the plane, for free like? This one would do, I suppose. Wouldn't even have to be for free. I'm sure we could....erm...agree to some terms.

theoldtrout01876 · 14/11/2011 01:21

Id fckin love to come but Im in USA :( I wanna meet some of you lovely, feisty , funny ladies :(

Tortington · 14/11/2011 01:24

CheerfulYank · 14/11/2011 07:08

theoldtrout01876 · 15/11/2011 01:23

CheerfulYank Im just north of Boston, where are you?

And as to the getting drunk meeting us Custardo Id sign that petition:o best idea Ive heard in ages.I would host anyone who came to get drunk meet us. Im totally relaxed in the house department ,love to cook and, if Im allowed to say so myself, Im good at it and most importantly I live 20 minuted from the NewHampshire border and the booze in NewHampshire is CHEAP cos they have really low tax on in ( smokes too )

Mumsnet field trip to Massachusetts then? :o

CheerfulYank · 15/11/2011 02:25

I'm in Minnesota. :) I've always, ALWAYS wanted to see Boston.

izzywhizzyspecanpie · 15/11/2011 03:26

Aw, shucks. Why November?

I'll be away for Thanksgiving and won't be home in time for Mumsnet's London Christmas Party.

Reflects on lost opportunity to meet Mumsnet legends, albeit in their own lunchtimes.

CheerfulYank · 15/11/2011 06:48

Where will you be for Turkey Day, Izz ?

Tortington · 15/11/2011 18:56

you had me at
...and the booze in NewHampshire is CHEAP

see you tomorrow

OP posts:
Tortington · 15/11/2011 18:57

you could be a mn prize

i think you should put it to them that they get easy jet to sponsor a prize to your house

CheerfulYank · 15/11/2011 18:59

OOOOOOHHHH all in the name of international relations! And I will come too!

AngelofTheLordiscomingDown · 15/11/2011 19:00

I would have pout my name down if I hadn't to pay an atronomical train fare.

Do you have it in a different place each year? You'd get more diverse patrons if you were to do that.
