well I've taken my earrings out for the first time in like, ages, and my ear smells of a sort of gorgonzola dolce.

Its not infected or anything, but I've found a bit of sort of cheesy leftover round where my earrings were.

I'm now slumped on the sofa in pj's, in an empty house, enjoying having a good old rummage.

is liking your own revolting smells something to do with evolution?

My BIL likes to scrape plaque from his teeth with his fingernails and have a good whiff! This could end up being a very interesting thread.

I know just what you mean about the earring-hole smell. I like it too. My belly-button gets a bit whiffy in a similar way sometimes too.

hmm not got children but bizarrely the dog's breath could melt plastic and I still quite like it. Same with any kind of chemical works smell, petrol, damp smells.

I'm beginning to wonder if there's some sort of psychiatric "philia" that is to do with revolting smells...

Farting in your car on your way home from work then getting in again later on to the smell of your old stale farts - very enjoyable.
