DP has an inflamed knee.

The hospital gave him crutches this morning.

Now while i accept that this probably smarts a little why can't he get his own fucking beer from the fridge especially when i cooked the dinner.

He has got CRUTCHES ffs.

Pseudo341 · 06/09/2011 21:36

YABU and mean. It's piss easy for you to get the beer, it's a major mission for him. Just get the man a beer, assuming he asked nicely of course.

AuntieMonica · 06/09/2011 21:37

not at all Crutchless

have spent many a drunken night in such an establishment Wink

TheCrutchlessCunt · 06/09/2011 21:39

Pseudo341.

But he never asks nicely.

He only ever asks me.

nenevomito · 06/09/2011 21:39

If he didn't ask nicely, lob it at his "good" knee and see if you can really give him something to grip about.

usualsuspect · 06/09/2011 21:39

I bet hes shagging nicely

LadyBeagleEyes · 06/09/2011 21:40

Well if he's got crutches tell him to fucking use them.
Do you know how hard it is to get crutches on the NHS these days?
Pah.

Bobbly both - tis my birthday, tis also 31 degrees.

Babyheave that's exactly what I was about to say.

TheSkiingGardener · 06/09/2011 21:43

My goodness you lot are mean!

At least he asked. DH has gout, and sits there, sighs heavily and says something like 'it's so frustrating the beer is downstairs'.

At this point I am meant to channel his mother, leap up and run and get him whatever he wants.

SOD OFF and ask me, dammit.

apologies. That may have been annoying me.

If he asked, get him a beer!

AuntieMonica · 06/09/2011 21:44

sod chanelling his mother, tell him to bloody well phone her!

nenevomito · 06/09/2011 21:45

Or, even better, go and get him a glass of iced water and say in a loving voice "Its not what you want, but its what you need and I'm here to do right by you special man"

Then run away and barf from saying something so twee.

TheCrutchlessCunt · 06/09/2011 21:48

Phone his fucking Mother?

You are joking?

Shoot his fucking Mother?

Oh ok.

OP posts:
AuntieMonica · 06/09/2011 21:49

nooo...he has to phone her

grass you up and she can tell him to stop being such a lazy fucker and get his own beer

Thingumy · 06/09/2011 21:50

If he phones her,he'll put on a 'i'm pooorly mummy' voice and she'll declare you a lazy, goodfornothing, evil trollop.

Pull the phone line out.

AuntieMonica · 06/09/2011 21:51

set up a pulley system with the actual phone line....

attach beers to it?

TheCrutchlessCunt · 06/09/2011 21:53

Thingumy

She already thinks that.

Pull the phone line out and use it to strangle her?

OP posts:
TheCrutchlessCunt · 06/09/2011 21:55

AuntieMonica...that is pure genius.

I can sit in bed and DP can pass anything i want/need to me whenever i shout at him.?

TheSkiingGardener · 06/09/2011 22:09

He does phone his mother, and if she lived closer, she would be over like a shot.

That's why there is an exclusion zone round the house.

TheSkiingGardener · 06/09/2011 22:10

All houses should have a fetcha-robot.

Would solve many such issues.

Ormirian · 06/09/2011 22:14

Right.

So he's injured and your first thought is 'why should I help him'?

OK Hmm

Fontsnob · 06/09/2011 22:15

Give him a backpack...no excuses for not being able to carry stuff...except maybe a mug of hot tea wouldn't work in a backpack.

reelingintheyears · 06/09/2011 22:18

I do think you are U OP..

It's only a beer he's asking for..

What sort of a DP are you?

Not a very nice one.
