To have reported this builder to his company?

We were walking past a building site earlier and this bloke who was on the scafolding shouted something down to his mate and did this irritating hand action thing. I put my shopping down and shouted back up "willy, willy, willy!" and copied the hand action. The bloke then shouted down to DH that he should keep his dog on a tighter leash (meaning me) so DH shouted back "get lost" so another builder told us to fuck off before DH ended up getting filled in. When we got home I told DH I was reporting the blokes to their company and he said not to as they could end up getting fired and it was all my fault anyway Sad I did however report them for threatning DH. Did I do the wrong thing? I know in this current climate losing your job is a terrible thing to happen but they shouldn't have threatened DH. I am feeling a bit guilty though at what might happen, especially if they have families etc

Thats the one izzy. Oh I want them to re-make it now, with the OP in the starring role

LionPoo · 09/09/2011 13:23

aha I found it. The willy willy willy thread. How bizarre.

Was this a troll in the end then?

Chandon · 19/09/2011 19:04

must have been.

Still; funny

MuthaInsuperior · 21/09/2011 12:17

wtf?! why would anyone do that? and on second thoughts - why would anyone make it up?!

MrsClown · 21/09/2011 12:24

Splattered - no you are not being unreasonable. Men have no right to shout anything, though I would have handled it differently. Last time it happened to me I followed a friends advice by shouting 'pardon, Im sorry did you say something'. The guy just went red and shut up, POINT MADE.

Floggingmolly · 21/09/2011 13:48

Point made with considerably more dignity than the OP, God love her Grin

:o My family is looking at me like I'm mad, I actually had to leave the room because I was laughing so much! LOVE the speculation on what the hand action was :D Only just discovered this thread, GLAD I DID. :) I needed cheering up.

Who cares if its a zombie thread, its really funny and made my day!

EmeraldScorn · 03/03/2017 11:23

Your husband is right, it was your fault and you shouldn't have made a complaint about them when you instigated interaction with them in the first place!

"Willy - Willy - Willy" could you not have just said "dick" or "wanker", at least you wouldn't have sounded completely deranged, although it did make me laugh!
