To be hacked off God cancelled summer

Mitmoo · 20/07/2011 20:02

This is the third year now on the trot where we have hardly had a week of clear blue skys and sunshine. It's rain clouds and horrible summer weather.
Is anyone else fed up with it?

worraliberty · 20/07/2011 20:03

You just know that come September when the kids are back at school, it'll be glorious sunshine Sad

dexter73 · 20/07/2011 20:04

YANBU Sad

Mitmoo · 20/07/2011 20:07

Andrew: ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!

Summer just seems to have been cancelled, people are happier with blue skies, sunshine and music blaring out of open car windows.

Still for those who can afford it, the Eurozone might be cheaper this year.

Karstan · 20/07/2011 20:13

I blame those posters who were complaining about it being too hot around April time

Goodynuff · 20/07/2011 20:13

It is sooo summer here

Cocoflower · 20/07/2011 20:13

I swear all the weather is shifting a couple of months ahead now... snow in November, a blazing hot May....

DontCallMePeanut · 20/07/2011 20:16

My mum checks the English weather on a daily basis, then sends me a message from her lovely Cypriot villa, telling me the weather's lovely. I can tell when Sky News has predicited torrential rain. She suggests I take DS down the beach Hmm

Mitmoo · 20/07/2011 20:16

goody where are you and do you have tan?

OP posts:
Mitmoo · 20/07/2011 20:17

LoveBeingAbleToNamechange · 20/07/2011 20:17

It's my third summer off from ft work, sorry I think it's my fault Sad

DontCallMePeanut · 20/07/2011 20:18

Coco, I suspect you're right... Last year, DS had a white birthday (January), then I had one 11 months later Grin And a bruised backside...

Karstan · 20/07/2011 20:18

I'll trade Goody, sounds like Missouri weather, just my sort of thing Grin

LemonDifficult · 20/07/2011 20:19

YANBU. I actually went to the doctor about it but she said there was nothing she could do and advised me to sleep through it.

storminabuttercup · 20/07/2011 20:21

Last year was hot wasn't it? I remember being 36 weeks and too bloody hot anyway. It's crap this year though!

Mitmoo · 20/07/2011 20:21

Come on guys and gals, let's get

Love being able to name change

And there was me thinking it was God's fault. Sorry God. Grin

Mitmoo · 20/07/2011 20:23

storm last year was rubbish, but your own body temperature is higher when pregnant IIRC, so perhaps I can blame you for global warming Grin.

Last year, we went camping mid august, group of friends. New tent, and I found out the rain cover thigymajiig was missing at 3:30am, after being woken up by rain. Literally. :(

manticlimactic · 20/07/2011 20:24

I'm sorry, it was my fault. I bought a hammock for the garden the other week and it's rained almost every day since!

It did the same last year when I bought new loungers. Sad

WannaBeMarryPoppins · 20/07/2011 20:25

I wonder whether it's some sort of punishment... I feel personally punished, whenever I go back to Germany the heat wave stops there and rain starts and Glasgow has rain all the time anyway so I think God has an issue with me.

Or it's Love's fault, I could go with that too Wink

Goodynuff · 20/07/2011 20:26

I am in Canada (Northern Ontario) and I have a super tan Grin It takes about 30 mionutes to turn brown, and another 10 to totally burn! We are going through insane amounts of sunblock.
