I would suggest that there is a higher incidence of crime amongst the population on a lower income.

Whilst that does not mean that the "middle classes" do not commit crime, it means that when you take a snapshot of a court waiting room the chances are there will be a majority of people who would fit the social stereotype of the lower classes.

Also probably depends on what kind of court you were in and what kind of cases you heard.

though i would say that just because a person has become disaffected that doesn't mean he is necessarily WC.

Drug abuse, DV, familial breakdown, job loss etc. They are equal amongst all social classes and are equally debilitating. Someone may well appear at court in dirty clothing, signing on and possibly high. His home may well be the well to do road you aspire to live on and he has just spent many years rebelling against his very MC upbringing.

Basically, appearance is not everything.

yes a lot of young people in court hgave had horrendous childhoods. Vicky Derbyshire. Ask Ken clarke MP. she is 5-lives hatchet woman interviewer. Paxo with bloomers. sometimes more heat than light. If they bring back hanging Vicky will be in for the job.
