To NOT be overwhelmed with desire at this smooth talking?

Ok, so my facebook is restricted so that unless you are my friend all you can see is my name and profile pic.

My profile pic is one of the few where i think i look ok. (DS took it just as i got out the bath and was applying some make up)
Obviously no flabby bits and wrinkles.

anyway. I got an inbox message from a guy telling me "Ur gawjus babe x"

Now, after looking at it for a minute and translating it i replied with a simple "thank you"

He's not a bad looking fella so i took a look at his profile. he's 22 Shock
I am errm, not 22.

Within a flash he comes back with "Oh ok u wana meet up n get to know me x"

Not entirely sure of the etiquette for letting a stranger down via the internet i politely replied "As flattered as i am, I think i'm a little old for you."

to which he came back almost instantly with "Na ur not to old 4 me hun so u wana get to know me then x"

Now i have translated this as - its ok, i don;'t mind the odd granny. so do you want to meet up for some WKD's and a shag?

So, as flattering as it is to have been contacted by this good looking toy boy, I am not entirely floored by his technique.
I am sure if were his age i would be over the moon to have received such attention.

Is this really what dating is like now? a 2 minute conversation via facebook and then off to bed?

Not that toyboys are all bad. I know of at least 2 Mners who are blissfully happy with men of a similar age.

No, if you were his age, this would have happened several times since you were around fifteen or so, and so you'd probably ignore it or have replied "Fuck off you twat". Which is probably why he sounded so surprised in his reply Grin

Not sure im allowed to show you the guys pic. might breach some sort of internet etiquette or something.

But yes he was a good looking lad.

Txt speak makes my eyes hurt. It takes me ages to read it. I have a friend who uses it and as much as i love her the typing irritates me immensely

I was, and was getting lots of messages from random men all over the world.Hmm

Zoosk were tres unhelpful. My DH has been signed up too. He gets emails from them every week. If I hadn't had dealings with the fuckers, I'd be very suspicious seeing them in his email inbox! (He leaves it open.)
