or over sensitive?

A friend and I had been discussing movies and he mentioned a horror movie I have not heard of before so stupid me googled the sypnosis on Wikipedia and I now feel very sick!

I won't go into it and won't mention the movie incase anyone else feels the need to google (if you are nosey like me [blush)) but like I say I have actually thrown up twice and my mind keeps wandering back to it, he was laughing saying well I should've warned you about that but it's only a movie.

I guess he's right but surely I'm not the only one who gets disturbed by what I can only describe as horrific movies?!

I've just googled both those films (I wish I'd learnt my lesson after dragonbutter) I can't understand why anyone would want to watch either of them - utterly sick. I'd prefer to be considered over-sensitive than not have any reaction to 'newborn porn' Sad.

I've read a review for A Serbian Film.

I don't hold with censorship but in this case I am glad someone is trying to prosecute the director. And I really thought I would never say that, especially not having seen it. Usually I'll defend artistic license to the utmost, but in this case I sincerely hope that everyone who made it or was involved in financing it or in any way connected to it being made should also be made to answer for it one day.

Erm, excuse my strong reaction people. It's been preying on my mind for a while, and I've had a really shitty day.

The Human Centipede is totally vile. I have no desire to see it and won't. But not in the same league. Not gutted they banned the second one, sounds like it is basically torture porn, and I am tired of extreme violence (especially against women) being promoted as the new must see.

I thought it was according to the Wiki page or did I mis-understand?

Kat I gave plenty of warning not to google if you were sensitive in any way and I asked for the post to be removed about 2 minutes after I posted the name so that the people who wanted to could google it before it went and that would be that.

Way oversensitive IMO. To say you have been physically sick after just reading something? Why carry on reading if it was so bad? Plot is of course rancid but to be physically sick having not watched it is a bit Hmm to me.

Takemedrunk - I thought it was a bit much too TBH, have never been physically sick like that but some of the images conjured were not pleasant I guess.

its taking a whole lot of willpower not to go google this. but ive been stung that way before and ended up with a head full of crap i dont want in there.

thing is, you're talking about the human centipede, which is just a stupid idiotic gross film. this serbian film doesnt sound in the same league. to have such an extreme reaction to the synopsis of a film is like a fricking challenge! i imagine lots of people have started off thinking 'there's no way it could possibly be that bad, i'll go have a look and then i can call you over sensitive' and possibly been proved wrong. these sorts of threads annoy me really, it just spreads upset round a load more people, like when people say 'look at this' and its a hugely upsetting fb group or something, dont share it!!! at least you gave plenty of warning though, but people cant help themselves. 'cept me. me strong! (and previously scarred)

Really, it is only a film, it's not real & if you are of a sensitive disposition then don't chuffing Google it.

Do you know what? There are some sick bastards out there and they don't spend their time making films for the art/horror/indie flick market. If it bothers you, ignore it, save your vitriol for the perpetrators of actual crimes not imaginary nonsense.

I was expecting to read about a horror film, but reading Serbian it was more than that. I know it's not real and it's make believe but for someone to even think of that idea of a film to me is sick.
