A friend and I had been discussing movies and he mentioned a horror movie I have not heard of before so stupid me googled the sypnosis on Wikipedia and I now feel very sick!

I won't go into it and won't mention the movie incase anyone else feels the need to google (if you are nosey like me [blush)) but like I say I have actually thrown up twice and my mind keeps wandering back to it, he was laughing saying well I should've warned you about that but it's only a movie.

I guess he's right but surely I'm not the only one who gets disturbed by what I can only describe as horrific movies?!

I'm a massive horror movie fan but googling that film was enough for me.

Ive heard about the human centipede too (from same friend!) but surely it can't be that bad as it was shown on tv a few weeks back?

If it is the one referred to up the thread I did google. Ugh, I think it is best to think of those gruesome films like that as DEEPLY STUPID as opposed to upsetting. Laughably adolescent. Its like a teenager was trying to shock his parents by swearing or a kid was trying to make a chilli sandwich for his brother - ok rubbish analogies maybe, but it is designed to provoke you so don't let it.

If you find yourself dwelling on it just sternly tell yourself it is DEEPLY STUPID not scary or horrible. It doesn't deserve your upset, it's a STUPID SILLY film about RIDICULOUS happenstances.

I wish I wasn't so nosy and hadn't looked :( what sick twisted person would a,make that film and b,watch it?! I like scary films but really cant see anything in the synopsis that suggests it is an 'entertaining' film. I don't know anyone that would want to watch it.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean about A Serbian Film. I only read the Wiki entry and felt physically sick. That's never happened to me before.

I don't understand why anyone would want to be in the production crew, let alone act in a film like that.

Well, I read the synopsis for a Serbian film and thought it was vile, but it's only some people's sick IMAGINATION, if that makes you feel any better?

A facebook friend linked to a video about DR Congo and the mass rapes there. A woman was talking about what was done to her husband and her. It was horrifically disturbing, and that was REAL.

Serbian film (ok, I know about the atrocities there) but the film itself, it's not real. It's not worth you wasting your horrors over, in the nicest possible way.

(though why anyone would want to watch any of those kinds of films I dont know)

Proudfoot I was intrigued by the human centipede but am a wuss (as you can tell) so I googled Human centipede images.

Some of them are actually mildly amusing... 3 people crawling on a lawn in what appears to be adult nappies with a flap for mouths on the back and bandages on their knees.

I am feeling better now I have spoken about it and hopefully my dreams won't be relaying it to me.
