Oh well, I suppose it had to die sometimes. Where to go now for good times?

OP posts:
Psammead · 26/05/2011 15:03

I think it depends on the site, too. My friend recently met some on a dating site and they have hit it off. But the OP was looking for a shag. I guess the guys think there is nothing to los by putting their cards on the table.

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/05/2011 15:03

Dominatrix, lesbian orgies, s&m - I miss all the good stuff!!

LatherRinseRepeatAsNeeded · 26/05/2011 15:04

Not many, but a few - met a great guy who I saw a few times, was a nice outlet, for want of a better phrase.

But did meet some really weird guys as well, who came across as normal.

TechLovingDad · 26/05/2011 15:05

They do seem to bring out the predators too. They sometimes think that because a woman is on the site, she is desperate or weak so they lure her in and then reveal their full weird glory.

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/05/2011 15:06

Lather, I met all my weird exes in RL not online - maybe I should look online I might find a nice decent upstanding member of the male race......failing that become a lesbian.

Thingumy · 26/05/2011 15:06

the internet has opened up the fetish scene so lots of people are very upfront with their sexual persuasions.

If I was single I would prefer that,it weedles out the ones who like animals, grannies and scat.

TechLovingDad · 26/05/2011 15:06

Then again, real dating is often crap too. My mum went to a singles night with her mate. Mate was chatted up by a short, one legged bald bloke who kept talking about his cock. She sent him on his way. He then came to my mum and opened with the line "I got shot down by your mate so thought I'd try my luck with you".

Flea well and truly in his ear.

TechLovingDad · 26/05/2011 15:07

I can imagine the ad, Thingumy.
"Hi, my names TLD, I like animals, grannies and scat? Fancy a cock shot?"

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/05/2011 15:08

TLD - Grin what an idiotic line to use

LatherRinseRepeatAsNeeded · 26/05/2011 15:08

I joined a site that I'm not even sure it exists anymore, but it was quite nice as it was split into 3 differeny sections, just friends, dating and intimate encounters, so you could find what you were looking for.

I just remember at the time thinking how expensive it was to message people, unless they messaged you first. must confess that did narrow the field of who I actually spoke to

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/05/2011 15:10

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/05/2011 15:11

Psammead · 26/05/2011 15:11

Oh no. You just got touched up by a childhood memory.

Sorry! I take it back!!

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/05/2011 15:12

No No No Nooooooo don't take it back its been a while since I have been touched up haha

Psammead · 26/05/2011 15:13
TechLovingDad · 26/05/2011 15:14

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/05/2011 15:16
TechLovingDad · 26/05/2011 15:16

TLE, if they involve s&m I will remain unstirred.

LatherRinseRepeatAsNeeded · 26/05/2011 15:17

Grin at TLD

I would recommend the online thing, although didn't meet DP that way, but just helped me get my confidence back. I did set up an email address with a name different to my real name, and bought a pay as you go sim, so could bin it there were any serious weirdos.

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/05/2011 15:17

oh noooo def not.....more of....well lets just say I am still grinning at the thought

LatherRinseRepeatAsNeeded · 26/05/2011 15:18

I feel like I'm about 5 m inutes behind the real conversation, damn this slow internet

TechLovingDad · 26/05/2011 15:18

oh now you can't keep that to yourself! although I'm a bit worried I might read it, go blind and then fall off my chair. what a way to go.
