As above I could go through what happened to me but its in the past but the man bashing that goes on here is disgusting (especially people that tell other people to take all the money out of joint accounts etc) some of the comments I have seen on here are just so vicious please confine yourself to what this was designed for

Do I detect a hint of 'calm down dear'?

TethersEnd · 29/04/2011 08:17

Well, you would say that. Typical bloke.

GitAwfMayLend · 29/04/2011 08:17

Look, dad, just put the telly on and watch the royal wedding.

TeamLemon · 29/04/2011 08:17

YABU

TandB · 29/04/2011 08:18

What was this designed for?
Baking tips? Boden discussions?

Goblinchild · 29/04/2011 08:18

I think we're all making it up as we go along, rather than having a design or plan.
Women have always talked like this, it's just the technology that's new.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 29/04/2011 08:18

Grin @ "please confine yourself"!

Speak for yourself. I have a plan. But then I am an evil genius...

'please confine yourself'

May I direct you to the notorious Friday night bumsex threads.

This place should be called Bumsnet, really.

TeamLemon · 29/04/2011 08:19

Hello Tethers!
Who are we going to watch "getting their knickers in a twist" today?

Hello Lemon Smile

I think we're going to be spoilt for choice... 'Tis a bank holiday, after all.

cookcleanerchaufferetc · 29/04/2011 08:22

OP.... this forum is used for mums venting at dads for a whole host of reasons, not paying, having affairs, not emptying the dishwasher.... Sometimes you get a post where a woman praises her husband and there aren't negative remarks.

As with life you never get the whole story, just one side and people comment accordingly.

Not condoning but just commenting!

GwendolineMaryLacey · 29/04/2011 08:23

Oh dear, that spat dummy went a bit further than you wanted. Shall I fetch it for you? Don't worry, happened to my dd all the time.

There now, all better?

TeamLemon · 29/04/2011 08:24

Some of us just use this forum to exchange jawporn. JS.

Goblinchild · 29/04/2011 08:24

Well, I don't talk about my partner on here. I have far more interesting things to discuss.
Like this thread
'At what time will I beable to see Victoria's outfit?'

I thought she was called Kate? Has the prince changed his mind?

TethersEnd · 29/04/2011 08:27

I was baffled by that one too, Goblin... I thought she died 110 years ago?Confused

dadsgetshitaswell · 29/04/2011 08:31

yes I agree its called mums net but having browsed some of your less than charming personalities you allow to vent I could probably come up with some alternative names for this site not into arguing but as a male do have to say I am a parent and whatever the reasons for our split up the child comes first not the nastiness

OP posts:
welshbyrd · 29/04/2011 08:36

Be a hero OP, make a DADSNET website [if it does not already exist]

Wonder how many threads would be about "horrid wives, and mums?" a lot more than casserole recipes, football scores, and best routes for walking the dog

Many men vent on Mumsnet, and are given fab advice

Ive seen thread from males, who have been supported and given great advice, about their wives, childrens mothers, family break ups and financial difficulties

Perhaps your an MNers ex-p, who is on the receiving end of MNters advice, and is pissed off?

TandB · 29/04/2011 08:36

What is her mum called? Is she Victoria?

cookcleanerchaufferetc · 29/04/2011 08:37

As a general question, if a man posted a problem then the comments would generally be the same if you were woman. There have been posts from men which have had fantastic advice. Coming on here and posting as you have has caused some, IMO, bitchy comments, but you are attacking the site.

....the Victoria reference here, Victoria Beckham perhaps?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 29/04/2011 08:54

Are you Dads-get-shit or Dads=gets-hit? Whatever it is is not really important.
Now do fuck of dear.

bleedingstill · 29/04/2011 08:56

Dads, I agree with you.
Some terrible stereotyping of men on here. But lots of nice my husband is wonderful stuff too.
