I'm so pleased people are viewing my house! :)

Mandy2003 · 24/04/2011 21:55

HeHeHe! The sun has turned your head - the property is very North African in its vibe BUT imagine it when it's raining and buses and traffic are swishing past along Upper Richmond Road.

But I do like it too Smile

AgentZigzag · 24/04/2011 21:57

DH said we could scrape together enough to buy it in our dreams, but the rug would have to go Grin

SarahStrattonsHotCrossBunnies · 24/04/2011 21:59

Don't like the bathroom, sorry.

anonymosity · 24/04/2011 22:01

upper richmond road in Mortlake is in constant traffic gridlock.

FabbyChic · 24/04/2011 22:01

It's lovely.

create · 24/04/2011 22:02

I really don't like that. It's far too contrived and overdone

zandy · 24/04/2011 22:05

It looks pretty, but not sure I could be doing with a kitchen in a conservatory, so I'll have to pass on this one.

heliumballoons · 24/04/2011 22:06

I passed out at the price. Shock

It is lovely though if I redecorated and removed the rug.

ChateauRouge · 24/04/2011 22:08

I bet the upstairs neighbours are absolutely vile...

Portoeufino · 24/04/2011 22:08

I am loving it! It this a really possibility or are you just teasing?

systemaddict · 24/04/2011 22:23

It looked lovely - until I noticed it was just the ground floor as a flat, not the whole building. The upstairs neighbours would be able to look into your kitchen through the roof!

habbibu · 24/04/2011 22:24

My god, London is expensive....

Jellykat · 24/04/2011 22:29

Very nice, but i have spotted 2 potential problems..

Firstly if it was pissing with rain, would you be able to hear anything in the kitchen/ dining area?
And.. there's a window that is overlooking the kitchen - no naked midnight snacks! (Aah i see systemaddict spotted it too Grin)

Why don't they have any photos of the bedrooms? I get that they're obviously very proud of their extension, and rightly so, but does this mean that they spent all their cash on the kitchen and the "bedrooms" are actually a broom cupboard, a tent in the lovely courtyard and some notional space under the stairs?

MrsCuldesac · 24/04/2011 22:47

It's also completely the wrong way round - the back garden is north-facing, so you'd have no sun with such a tall house, because the shadow of the house would be cast over the back garden - no wonder there's so much glass. In the summer your front living rooms will be baking, while the garden will be gloomy.

mitochondria · 24/04/2011 22:53

I'd want the whole house for that much money. Which is probably why I don't live in London!

MotherMucca · 24/04/2011 22:54

Well, I think it's marvellous, love the glass AND THAT KITCHEN!

I live in a hovel

SomethingProfound · 25/04/2011 01:06

Love it! this is the current object of my desire! but DP thinks it's weird as it's the street i grew up in! and we are not moving south for another 2 years :(

beautyspot · 25/04/2011 04:05

Well here's something to put you off - it's right under the pathway to Heathrow. We had friends rent very close by and they had to break the lease (and all that entails) as they were going out of their minds with the aircraft noise.

Feel better now?

beautyspot · 25/04/2011 04:06

SomethingProfound remember when million pound houses looked like million pound houses?

CheerfulYank · 25/04/2011 04:24

Meh.

I'd give my right arm for this , though :)

CheerfulYank · 25/04/2011 04:34

Or this even. I'm a live-simple person :)

Tee2072 · 25/04/2011 08:09

SomethingProfound, that kitchen is waaay to dinky for that price! There is no work space!

I do like the other kitchen but agree it being under all glass would bug me.
