And why is it on Rightmove? Do people with 70 mil casually browse Rightmove of a Monday morning, too?

SlackSally · 25/04/2011 11:29

Ha, Breathing that house in Liverpool is sadly MUCH closer to what I'm looking for.

beautyspot · 25/04/2011 11:44

Bandgeep love that Sheffield house - especially the litle girl looking out of the window on second last photo. She's thinking "why didn't someone sweep up all the leaves before the photographers came"

habbibu · 25/04/2011 12:22

BigSooz, lots of the staff of the university have that view - loads of depts on the street. Think it's the most expensive street in Scotland. It is a fab view - love wandering round there on a sunny day, or when the waves are wild.

It is on the A295! And a bloody flat. This is what I hate most about London. I am house hunting at the moment (not far from this flat) and have to contend with gloaty phone calls and texts from a friend who earns the same as I do but lives somewhere up north where a 5 bedroom house costs £300k...

QuintEggSentialPaints · 25/04/2011 17:50

Ack I feel your pain Giselle. I too want to live in SW13 -SW14. But it is so hard to find something suitable....

OP posts:
habbibu · 25/04/2011 17:54

Are you actively hunting, Quint?

Giselle99 · 25/04/2011 18:04

Oops - meant A205. And was referring to the flat in the OP - didn't notice the thread had got to page 5!

Giselle99 · 25/04/2011 18:06

Quint - it's terrible isn't it? I'm looking in a wide area but completely priced out of the large 3 bedroom houses (i.e. not 2 bedroom with converted loft type 3 bedders)

QuintEggSentialPaints · 25/04/2011 18:16

I am semi actively hunting / keeping an eye on the market. It keeps me sane.

I quite like, and surpisingly could afford, one like the liverpool house. OK 'like' may be the wrong word in its current state but as I only need a modest 2 bed somewhere I could get a mortage and afford a loan to do up cheap as BIL has a property management co! would be lovely - and mine all mine. I am looking for a little house to buy as an investment for my son. im not sure how that one would increase in value by the time he is 21 though.

heliumballoons · 25/04/2011 19:32

zandy I actually like that house. Where I live though it would probably cost £180-200 000. Shock

heliumballoons · 25/04/2011 19:37

cheapest but only 1 bathroom

cheapest semi

CheerfulYank · 25/04/2011 22:36

Sick, who buys a child Playboy bedding?! Shock Gross.

I don't think I'd feel comfortable in a 22 room house. Ours is a tiny little thing and I love it :) We have almost an acre since we're on a double lot, though, so we have some room for DS and the dog to run around outside.

I honestly think that even if I had a lot of money I'd end up in a little ramshackle cottage by the sea. :)

It is fun to look at the big extravagant ones though, isn't it?
