Royal Wedding - again!

There are so many 'I don't care about the Royal Wedding' comments on here. I've just got back from a weekend in London and the enthusiasm for the marathon runners was amazing. The runners had their names on their vests so complete strangers could yell encouragement, and yell they did.

These same people and many thousands more will be cheering for the happy couple a week on Friday and I for one am so excited. Thank god for these people who can always be relied upon to turn out with their Union Jacks and whoops of joy.

So, my first AIBU! I think generally we do care and the negative folk are in the minority.

Perhaps envious of the lifestyle rather than bagging the groom...

Agree about Harry, Animation, he has a definite something about him.

Has anyone seen the T mobile ad, with the 'royal family' dancing down the aisle? I'd love to see that on the day, or the Queen doing Thriller at the reception.

Somehow I don't think the real thing will be that interesting, once we've all had a gawp bitch about Kate's dress.

Oh I got replies Shock.

I very rarely get to go to our capital city and I had just returned from a marvelous weekend there. The Union Jacks are out in full force and I just felt a tad excited! Yes, the marathon is boring if you watch it on the telly but it was fab to be there.

I will be glued to the tv with a bottle of cava with tissues at the ready Grin

As to why I put this in AIBU? I was feeling exuberant, happy, brave and Wine

A lady I do some work for rang today on what seemed like a flimsy pretext. Then halfway through the conversation, she blurted out that she was going to the wedding. I now know two people who are going.

My take is that I am not a Royalist but will always wish two people in love happiness and a great future. But no, I am not miserable but I am also not terribly interested.

However, I love to see happy people.
