New agey types who insist that their beloved child is an 'Indigo child' 'Crystal child' 'Rainbow child' etc..only born at this particular time to bear important message for mankind etc etc..
and think that this excuses the little horror (as they always are) of all bad behaviour eg 'it's only him expressing his frustration. He's an Indigo, you see. Very misunderstood'.
(i worked in the 'body mind spirit' industry. Forced to go to talks on Indigos etc..) made me Shock Shock
Some of the smug parents were also Shock when i suggested that perhaps ALL children were special.

Custardo, I think that the Queen is probably a crack shot. You'll need a headstart and a headwind to outrun her Grin

simonedeboudoir · 07/02/2011 19:58

I'd join the PTA if I thought I wouldn't be obliged to have an arse the size of Swindon, be surgically inserted into a fleece, have bad hair, and be banned from wearing make-up for the length of my tenure

Grin LeQ may I add perma tea breath and stray black chin hairs

curlymama · 07/02/2011 19:59

Comic Relief and Children in Need are full of self fulfilling celebrities that don't don't give a shit about actual charity. I resent having to pay a pound so my child can wear his own sodding clothes, or some jaunty red spots for a charity I am forced to support so my dc's aren't left out. They should both be banned.

People that think 4x4 drivers are moronic are small minded, and are either jealous, or in need of a grip.

PinkElephant73 · 07/02/2011 19:59

My 11 year old can play Black Ops without turning into a psycho.

That the use of 'gay' as a pejorative word does not necessarily indicate homophobia.

cakeywakey · 07/02/2011 20:07

It may not indicate homophobia 30 but as that isn't always clear perhaps it shouldn't be used?

I didn't see the previous thread and thought it might be fun to post some silly and some half-serious stuff here, but some posts are really starting to upset people, particularly those about special needs. Those are not fun. Will be hiding this thread now.

Oh do fuck off.

A person hit by a 4x4 is more than twice as likely to die as someone hit by a normal sized car. A car driver is approx 4x more likely to be killed if hit from the side by a 4x4 than by a normal sized car

Etc etc I could go on

30andMerkin · 07/02/2011 20:15

I didn't say you should go round calling people gay as an insult. I just think language is fluid and a word's meaning can evolve.

bupcakesandcunting · 07/02/2011 20:15

There is no such thing as the sisterhood. We are all but humans, each with our own merits and minuses. Don't think that just because we both own a vagina that I will automatically applaud everything you do. Some women are twats, some men are twats. I'll judge you on you, not on your genitalia.

Although I have judged on genitalia in the past.

curlymama · 07/02/2011 20:18

Ok, so does that mean that no vans, lorries or anything bigger than a nissan micra should be on the road then?

Do you include 7 seater people carriers in your vendetta against big cars? Or is that allowed because people want more than two children?

ThePosieParker · 07/02/2011 20:18

Women that aren't feminists are spineless and the sort of women that are competitive with other women.

People that use the word 'gay' to mean something negative are tossers and need to think about the abuses 'gay' people have suffered before they decide what is or isn't offensive.

MrsRichardHammond · 07/02/2011 20:19

4x4's are usually driven by people who are nervous drivers and nearly always used on the school run. If a car can be written off at such a low speed i shudder to think of the damage it would do to a child.

SoupDragon · 07/02/2011 20:20

"People only buy brand new cars as a status symbol. But why is owing money to a credit company a status symbol? Everyone knows you didn't buy it outright."

Actually, I bought mine brand new to avoid maintenance and MOT issues for a few years. And I paid, in full, by debit card. [shrug]

I like this kind of thread as it lets us know which posters are ignorant, judgemental twats

bupcakesandcunting · 07/02/2011 20:21

Definitely have one. Not a feminist. Competitive? Nah. Too much effort Grin

That is true i'll give you that but usually doesn't mean all, last time i checked anyway :)

I'm aware that a lot go off road, are used to pull horse boxes etc etc but in the centre of a city when the 4x4 is a status symbol...

chickencrisps · 07/02/2011 20:24

MrsRichardHammond · 07/02/2011 20:25
