If you are fat what would you prefer people to think: that you have mental health issues, or you just eat too much and are lazy?! It's one or the other really isn't it? Neither are particularly desirable.

Erm....nope I don't think that's what anyone has said!! Some people that are obese have complex reasons from over eating.

Well as it's titled Unpopular Opinions and its in AIBU it doesn't need to be pleasant. Forewarned is forearmed and all that. The vast majority of posters are having fun, any individual post that breaks usual rules of conduct needs to be reported as on any thread.

People posting on here know that their opinion is likely to be unpopular - that's why they have posted it. It is hardly an opinion they are likely to ever enforce or act upon. You can't police people's thoughts however.

There has been very little genuine bigotry on here, and those posts have mostly been ignored anyway.

Out of the nearly 2000 posts only a very small percentage have been bigoted - these have mostly been ignored/deleted by MN.
