People who allow their dogs to charge at strangers whislt saying 'he won't hurt you', 'he is only playing' or 'he is very friendly' should be put into a pit with a tame bear which they don't know is tame. The bear will them run at them while the bear tamer says 'he's only playing' etc, while the bear gnaws their leg off.
'Oh dear, he is normally very friendly' the tamer will say.

i rather like my kids singing along to Dr John :)

If you disapprove of a thread, just stay off it. Don't come on to tell us that we are simply terrible, then disappear off in a cloud of your own sanctimonious fart gas.

InspirationalBreadbin · 07/02/2011 19:16

will run at them, not will them run at them, of course.

TheCrackFox · 07/02/2011 19:16

There is no such thing as a "sugar high" your children are just annoying.

OTheHugeManatee · 07/02/2011 19:17

I own an 8th-hand brown leather Chesterfield. Where does that leave me?

chickencrisps · 07/02/2011 19:18

if you never talk or read to your kid, have the telly on 24/7 and play music full blast, dont be surprised when it has speech difficulties

bupcakesandcunting · 07/02/2011 19:18

Clarks are having a laugh at us. Children's feet do not need special shoes to assist bone-development. It is just a very clever marketing ploy to make flagellating parents part with upwards of thirty quid for a tiny pair of shoes.

Emmanana · 07/02/2011 19:19

Parents who use the puschair spaces on buses, so people can't stand there, then take the 2 yo out, give the seat next to them so they stand up and get mud all over the seat, and another adult has to stand...

cakeywakey · 07/02/2011 19:19

Othehuge - you're shabby chic but vair green Grin

noddyholder · 07/02/2011 19:19

Oh no vintage heirloom chesterfield is ok its the dfs monstrosities we are mocking here

bupcakesandcunting · 07/02/2011 19:20

I've got a battered red Chesterfield Grin New or second-hand doesn't come into it. It's just that brown pleather, boxy sofas are crap. They're Next Aspirational. For people who want their home to look like a Next Directory lounge but can't afford their ridiculous price-tags. Can't afford a Next-esque lounge? Then get onto Freecycle/eBay and get something quirky.

Blacksand · 07/02/2011 19:21

bupcakes - i am not disappearing anywhere and was right near the beginning of the other thread.

It just reminded me of those mind control scientific experiments about herd mentality. "Push the button and someone dies and no one will know it was you" sort of thing (i've seen this on BBC4 so it must be true)....And aren't you all getting 'braver'?

cakeywakey · 07/02/2011 19:21

Serving pizza to v good friends for dinner is absolutely fine. I'm tired, it's tasty and surely you've come for a chinwag rather than fine dining Smile

bupcakesandcunting · 07/02/2011 19:22

I wasn't actually referring to you, Blacksand but if you like.

InspirationalBreadbin · 07/02/2011 19:23

People only buy brand new cars as a status symbol. But why is owing money to a credit company a status symbol? Everyone knows you didn't buy it outright.

lololizzy · 07/02/2011 19:23

If you refuse to drive in rain/at night/in light snow, then you really should not be driving at all as are obviously a nervous, unconfident driver

OTheHugeManatee · 07/02/2011 19:23

Toyota Prius drivers: your car is fugly and has no net environmental advantage. And you are a terrible driver.

to think that people who say "i'm just being honest.." before saying something really nasty are morons.
