Went to an animal shelter today & he is gorgeous.

He looks like he will be a loving mate, bless his little sad eyes.

brightlightsandpromise · 29/01/2011 18:15

he is properly lovely too, best of luck - they take a few weeks to settle down and then they go a bit mental for a week or so, and then they are just wonderful.

bubblewrapped · 29/01/2011 18:15

Awww, he doesnt look unremarkable at all. He has lovely gentle eyes :)

diddl · 29/01/2011 18:15

and again

This is why we had to have him-the way he´s looking at the person holding the lead.

We all just melted.Blush

diddl · 29/01/2011 18:19

He´s called Emir.

Daughter wants to change it to Eli-don´t know if that´ll work given his age though.

I bet he is lying there in his little bed not knowing that tomorrow his little life will change forever.

I bet he wags his tail that fast his back end is a blur.

diddl · 29/01/2011 18:22

Well I hope he´s pleased with usGrin

Of course he will be,i bet he will sit that close to your feet he is actually sitting on them,my old dog used to do that & he used to nudge his head under your arm till you stroked his ears.

TwistAndShout · 29/01/2011 18:29

YADNBU - He looks lovely, congratulations.

Hullygully · 29/01/2011 18:30

Lovely. He looks really sweet.

mutznutz · 29/01/2011 18:33

He sounds gorgeous! Grin

Did you have to have a home visit? I mean I take it you didn't just turn up today and they said you can have him tomorrow without some sort of prior checks?

He looks so lovely! I chose my dog from the rescue and was supposed to collect her the next day, I couldn't wait so went and bought a bed and bowls and raced back to collect her that afternoon :)

maxybrown · 29/01/2011 18:36

ahh he's lovely!

IlsaLund · 29/01/2011 18:38

He's gorgeous.

What a lucky, lovely dog

nemofish · 29/01/2011 18:39

Aww he's melted me too...

mutznutz · 29/01/2011 18:43

No blaming the puddle on the dog nemo! Grin

NinkyNonker · 29/01/2011 18:44

Oh he's lovely, and well done you. We got q second did from a rescue (I don't understand people) last year and she is tops. Seeing a dog like him makes me 'broody' for another...but then the chaos would be a little too great! Maybe when we have more space...

Enjoy!
