Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Here a c-sec is usually 4 days, we left after 3 as hospital experience was horrid. Tell those gentlemen of yours to take good care of you when you go home Tiredmum!

:)

candleshoe · 08/03/2011 19:52

Me too on the bad experience front, I got nice wound infection after second C-section

Take really good care of yourself!

Teaandcakeplease · 08/03/2011 20:06

I used that Savlon wound wash for mine. Stung like a b*stard [grin and my mw made me put a clean sanitry towel over the wound to absord moisture too. Bizarre but it worked.

Hi Teaandcakeplease Smile

I'm here at my friends house, remember? With DS1 and Bump.

Well it's been a very emotionally traumatic time for me at home, and DS1 and I have had to move out. The Police have been involved on my behalf.

I was searching the pregnancy threads for some experience and information on Braxton Hicks.

I had to go out today to sort out benefit for me, DS1 and to get a crisis loan sorted out.

Anyway, I'm 27wks pg and I had a LOT of walking and waiting around today than I was physically comfortable with.

I had a long walk to the town centre, spent time there, and then walked back. I was out for about 5 hours.

On the walk back home, I was really really struggling. Baby moved and it was really uncomfortable to walk all the way home. I had to compensate by changing the way I walk.

Since I've been home which is a few hours, Baby has been lively, but no more than usual. But I do feel 'extra stretched' all over my tummy, iyswim? I've also been getting some very sharp muscle pains, which I didn't have before.

It's been 13 years since I had DS1 and this is my second, and to be honest, I can't remember every nuance of my first pregnancy and things like this seem to have faded from my memory [shame].

Can I ask your opinions please, could it be Braxton Hicks? Or is it just from doing more than I was really able to cope with?

Thanks Smile xx

LibraPoppyGirl · 08/03/2011 21:26

That should have Blush not [shame]

Teaandcakeplease · 08/03/2011 22:35

Hello lovely. I always struggled towards the end and my muscles ached in strange places like under my rib cage and I'd have to rub it to soothe it a little. It probably is something similar but maybe you should check with your midwife. BES on the prayer thread was worried about your posts revealing too much infor with the problems with your H, in case he came onto mumsnet and saw them (which has happened to friends of mine on here with ex partners Sad) which is why she thought they should be deleted. Are you ok?

The girls on here are fab, it's a safe place to share x

Oh TACP hello lovely you, I've just looked at your profile and reading your words, brought a lump to my throat xx

Yes, I was glad BES contacted MNHQ because I had totally forgotten to contact them, as BES rightly suggested. I was rather raw when I wrote those posts.

I've thanked her too on the prayer thread and I made MNHQ aware that I was grateful indeed that another poster had taken the time to care Smile

The pains have settled down now, which I am so thankful for, but I do feel soooooo stretched at the tummy muscles. I too ache under the top of my rib cage.

Baby is nice and lively though and has been constant in her/his routine, iyswim. I called and left a message for my MW yesterday but she's not on until tomorrow, but she'll see it then and call me so. I'm going to arrange a time to see her.

I'm supposed to be going Winchester RHCH for a consultants appointment on Thursday, but I have no access to a car now and it's going to be really hard by public transport. I don't know what to do, I really don't think I can make it on the bus or train Sad.

I'll speak to MW tomorrow and see what she thinks?

Floating around on here tonight, might see you floating too Wink xx

Hi Libra, welcome to the bench. Have a Brew. I had Braxton Hicks from 25 weeks on. What you're describing doesn't sound like what I felt, but am sure it is different for everyone. Worth checking with a medical professional if that's an option for you.

Don't know your story, but hope you are ok, sounds like a tough situation to be in.

LibraPoppyGirl · 08/03/2011 23:41

Hi gomummygo it's nice to be here and thanks for the Brew it's going down a treat Wink

Short story, I had to leave my house on Saturday with my DS1 who is 13yo because domestic abuse. The police were involved and DS1 and I are now staying somewhere temporarily.

H is not DS1 father but I am 27 weeks pregnant with H's child.

So really I've spent since Saturday night, making calls and trying to sort things out and I've made some progress over Mon and Today Smile

Feeling tired today, so I'm sure that's why I feel a bit worn out and sore with aching, it's been a fraught few days. But progress is good Smile

I'll keep posting on the prayer thread regularly, and I'll be around here too, I like it Smile x

CheerfulYank · 08/03/2011 23:45

Welcome Libra, hope everything is going all right. You can stay here and put your feet up a bit :)

LibraPoppyGirl · 09/03/2011 00:09

Thanks CheerfulYank Smile

It's very good to be here and be able relax and get this lovely support x

I'm having that lovely Brew and just trying to unwind. H was texting me constantly for a few hours earlier this evening, so I've had to turn my phone off. It's ridiculous Sad.

Just floating around a bit tonight Smile x
