1000 replies

Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Yes, made an arse of myself yesterday, talked about it lots on my other threads. So I won't go into it again on here. Suffice to say I asked someone if they'd like to come and watch a movie here one night and they said no Sad

Wonder how Tiredmum is getting on & if dc3 is here yet Smile

candleshoe · 07/03/2011 11:14

I was just on here checking for news myself!
Hope your DD is feeling better today.

elmofan · 07/03/2011 11:46

Thanks candle Smile her temperature seems to have settled down now thankfully , i'm taking her to my GP later this afternoon , i think she still has the ear infection & possibly a chest infection .

elmofan · 07/03/2011 12:46

< consering pinching gomummy & cheerful to wake them up > [ evil Grin ]

gomummygo · 07/03/2011 12:49

I'm up, I'm up! Phew! Have not missed it.

Elmo, glad DD's temp has come down, hope your GP gives you something to sort it out quickly.

Tea that doesn't sound like making an arse out of yourself! Whoever it is is not worth your thoughts.

elmofan · 07/03/2011 12:51

consering = considering Blush

gomummygo · 07/03/2011 12:52

Ouch! Grin I was already up Elmo!!! Grin

Actually, I was making a fire, saying to myself "Hurry up and light! Hurry up and light! I've got to get on MN!" and laughing to myself about how odd that seems...so perhaps I needed the pinch! Grin

elmofan · 07/03/2011 12:55

Grin Grin I've been reloading this page since 7.13am

gomummygo · 07/03/2011 13:08

Grin I would too if I could stay here today Elmo! Have to go out for a few hours and hoping I don't miss the announcement! Will be back about the same time as Cheerful arrives (I think, as she and I also have a small time difference I believe).

elmofan · 07/03/2011 13:17

I will be going out soon to pick ds up from school & take dd to the doctor . Have a nice morning & ill see you back here later Smile

gomummygo · 07/03/2011 13:19

See ya then! :)

CheerfulYank · 07/03/2011 14:43

Haven't missed it! Haven't missed it! :o

My student has computer lab this morning so I'm on earlier than usual. YAY!

CheerfulYank · 07/03/2011 14:56

He's probably kicking himself Tea. Years back I asked out a very awkward guy and he turned me down flat. A few years later I asked him about it and he said he wanted to but was too nervous. Or maybe he's just a knob, which he must be because you're gorgeous and wonderful. So says Cheerful, which makes it true.

CheerfulYank · 07/03/2011 15:56

No news?! No news?!

Teaandcakeplease · 07/03/2011 16:19

I don't think he will. The impression I get after talking with some friends is it is just the way he is with women. Although I'd known him for about 10 years and see him about. I do not know him know him iyswim? I wanted to get to know him better and hang out but I completely freaked him out. I keep having flashbacks today to the look on his face when I asked, shock and disgust it looked like. It all hurt a lot at the time. My ego is bruised Sad

Tiredmum I hope you're ok.
