Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Oh no Shock when will you have to move?

You dont need that stress atm Sad

Tiredmumno1 · 19/02/2011 23:55

We only have a couple of months, no i dont need the stress especially as i will still be recovering, but i cant let it get me down

elmofan · 20/02/2011 00:06

I wish i could help Sad ,

Try not to get yourself stressed out about it [easier said than done i know] . Could you ask family /friends to start collecting boxes for you now & maybe get the dc's to make a start on packing a few toys away? i know its early but if you can do a little at a time it might not be so bad iykwim.

gomummygo · 20/02/2011 01:46

Oh Tiredmum, I'm so sorry to hear that! :( Think Elmo's idea of getting a head start now on anything that you can is a good one. As if you need that kind of stress! Another from me. Do you know where you are going?

I'm sure I've asked this before, but what's half-term/mid-term?

Hope your visiting family is a good thing, Valium! :)

CheerfulYank · 20/02/2011 02:42

We are, we are! :) Welcome missjulie. Have a seat and some Wine! Or Brew if you'd prefer.

Tiredmum that's too bad! Moving is so hard as it is, let alone with a newborn. Anything we can do? (start a moving fund or something? :o)

gomummygo · 20/02/2011 14:14

Welcome missjulie! :)

Cheerful we'll have to time that lottery win with Tiredmum's move so that we can get over to help. Little bit of wine, I can make some lists, we'd have a new nursery set up and decorated in no time!

Tiredmumno1 · 20/02/2011 14:20

Thanks for the hugs and thoughts, we will try and move some bits out asap, but its just so daft, they are only doing it cos we asked them to do a couple of bits like fix the garden, they havent bothered doing nowt in 2 and half years, its all a bit petty from their side really

Gomummy half term is just a weeks holiday, woo hoo dont have to worry about school stuff for a whole week

Cheerful a moving fund would be great lol Grin

Hi missjulie, we are a lovely bunch, these ladies are fab Smile

Tiredmumno1 · 20/02/2011 14:21

Gomummy that sounds wonderful Grin Wink

gomummygo · 20/02/2011 14:43

A weeks holiday in February sounds like a great idea really. Such a dreary time of year.

Do you have a new place arranged yet Tiredmum? Grin

Teaandcakeplease · 20/02/2011 15:22

Is there a freecycle network near you tiredmum so you can get boxes etc for free? Bad timing by the ll Angry

Tiredmumno1 · 20/02/2011 15:30

Teaandcakeplease · 20/02/2011 15:41

Thanks tea, much appreciated, i shall look after the kids are in bed, so i can concentrate Grin, are ya havin a good day, have you been doing anything nice Smile

missjulie · 20/02/2011 18:42

tired, sounds like a nice day!
Have been sooo busy here, baking birthday cake, doing hundreds of loads of washing (!!!), lots of household chores, and of course seeing to DD, and cuddling her lots!!! Just sat down with a Brew for a wee rest before i start again! x

Teaandcakeplease · 20/02/2011 18:42

Quiet day here, kids in bed, I'm going to go and watch CSI: NY from last night Grin

I leave freecycle on all day and refresh it and if something comes up that I want, I'll message them being nice about it and saying yes please, how helpful it'll be blah blah blah. If I'm quick enough and nice enough I usually bag the item. You have to collect it from them. I've put "wanted's" on before too and managed to get something sitting in someone's loft no longer used, that I really needed. Everything is free on there. So it's great. Much better than things going to landfill that work well.

Teaandcakeplease · 20/02/2011 18:43
