i never buy anything made with liquid egg [smug emoticon]

I make my own cakes, have my own chickens and just wouldn't buy/eat any of this ready made shit that has been poisoned

disclaimer - sorry if you have eaten any of this shit

OP I would agree that the slanging match comment is probably correct, however some of the comments or the tone seem to make you sound slightly superior and that's why some people, me included, get upset - because we are all trying our best to raise our children.

And it doesn't make me feel any better for having bought that cake (although it was very nice :))

jpg, I do apologise for what I called you in my earlier post. It was said in the heat of the moment and IWBVU. I've now had a cup of tea and ds is finally asleep so I'm much calmer now and I'm very sorry Blush

Starrychime - It is good that they can be so specific. It means their traceability systems work. Traceability is a vital part of food production and a legal requirement.

but how do you know you've done the right thing for your children? How much of your fresh stuff doesn't come from a registered farm - but maybe from a neighbour, a garden, an allotment? Those places aren't tested for levels of dioxins (which are found all over the place). So you actually have no way of knowing if it's been eaten in higher than recommended quantites by your children or not.
