i never buy anything made with liquid egg [smug emoticon]

I make my own cakes, have my own chickens and just wouldn't buy/eat any of this ready made shit that has been poisoned

disclaimer - sorry if you have eaten any of this shit

There is always a food scare coming out and unless you have your own farm for milk,eggs,meat and vegetables you will never know exactly what is going into the soil and therefore up the food chain.And even if you did have your own farm then there are always scares about what is coming down in the rain due to pollution.As I said previously I do try and cook from scratch when I can but all my vegetables are bought from a shop.I do use a local butcher so I can trace the meat but in my opinion if you try and control everything that your dcs eat it does sadly make them a target for ridicule and sadly bullying( best friend at school parents were early pioneers of macrobiotic food)

Also not to put any ideas in any ones mind but I know farmers who have GM crops and non GM crops what if they got mixed up one day Shock

needsatrim, i am not an extreemist so don't totally stress out about all this but certainly don't buy ready made food and try to cook from scratch, I do accept if all this is mixed up then I am as fucked as the rest of them but I won't give them cheap nasty sausages and ready made cakes, commonsense really

If you are not an extremist and don't totally stress out then why do you send your dcs with their own food to parties?That to me is extremist or maybe I have a skewed view of the world.As I said before for allergies,religious or vegan diets I would understand but one sausage roll (shop bought) is not going to poison your dcs. Either that or I have poisoned tens of children and need to reassess my party food.

When they find the chicken shop then it is their choice, until such a time then it is my choice and I will continue to send them out with healthy food that (hopefully) won't kill them as quickly as others
