This is what I get when I try to view a page but I can get round it be clicking ignore... Getting annoying though!

foxtrottango · 22/12/2010 08:48

Its doing it to me too, every time I try and read a thread!

backwardpossom · 22/12/2010 08:49

So glad I'm not the only one!

foxtrottango · 22/12/2010 08:51

I have changed from using firefox browser to internet explorer and now its fine. Maybe its a firefox issue

backwardpossom · 22/12/2010 08:51

Right, it's not doing it on Safari, just Firefox. So, I will be viewing MN on Safari today...

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/1109797-StopBadware-org

this thread seems to explain it although i don't really understand

Indith · 22/12/2010 08:53

Oh! Oh! me too! A coupl eof mins ago it was just a single thread but now it is everything I click on!

BlathIceSkate · 22/12/2010 08:54

Me too. Exact same message and only on Firefox. Using Explorer now.

I even get it if I try to view this thread through Firefox!

Ray81 · 22/12/2010 08:55

Me too thought i was the only one, glad i'm not.

backwardpossom · 22/12/2010 08:57

I'm getting this too...only in Firefox though...all fine in IE.

I went into the settings menu and turned off the warn me option...just for now..will turn it back on later to see if warnings still there.

To stop the pop up warning pages >

Tools > Options > Security > Untick - Block reported attack sites.

I think it must be a blip...Firefox uses the safe site thingy attached to google...which in my experience is notorious for blocking sites for no apparent reason!

Don't forget to turn it all back to normal if browsing elsewhere though.

If MN was downloading stuff my anti-virus would be going loopy....but not one warning via that....very odd!

bellastella · 22/12/2010 08:57

just got this from internet explorer. what fun! Xmas Angry

backwardpossom · 22/12/2010 09:00

I'm on a Mac, so wasn't too worried about the spyware/malware it was telling me I would be in danger of if I access the site. Had I been on a PC, though, I'd have been panicking before reading the thread that westlake linked to.

I've just clicked the 'no it isn't' button.

SantasNutellaFairy · 22/12/2010 09:06

I have had to switch to IE. Not happy.

BlathIceSkate · 22/12/2010 09:09

MNHQ say it's due to a bad advert. They're fixing it

BlathIceSkate · 22/12/2010 09:14

Aha! Just click on "ignore this warning" and it lets you through

maxybrown · 22/12/2010 09:14

well interesting because our laptop is now buggered with a virus that even DH can't sort yet it is that imbedded - and I only went on MN last night Hmm

I got same message as you lot this morning on IE but now it seems ok.

Scared to come on really as DH will go BESERK if the PC gets infected too. Not sure how it happened at all but laptop seems buggered now Sad

Glitterknickaz · 22/12/2010 09:16

it's happening with Google Chrome too

backwardpossom · 22/12/2010 09:17

Blath I did, but anytime I tried to view a page, the warning came up again. Changing browser helped though.

maxy I'd be VERY surprised if the virus on your laptop was caused by this.

I just got this too using Firefox on an apple mac, thought the Mac had discovered AIBU.

wahwahwah · 22/12/2010 09:18

I had an 'attack alert' yesterday too. I assumed it was the thieving bastard who had been using my broadband up to no good!

werewolf · 22/12/2010 09:21

Huh - got it trying to get into this thread!
