I definitely would.

Maybe twice.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 29/10/2010 23:37

Well I just lost a lengthy post, so will summarise,

I have been laughing like a hyena at all the recent activity and stuffing my fists in my mouth because everyone is asleep and I shouldn't be on MN

Lovely shots of Guy tonight in RH, there was big close-up where you could see his blue eyes for a change --they usually look black. Stupid Marion, how could she resit that hoarse purring in her ear and even a little chuckle when she wanted to get her to a nunnery. She must be a pretty late developer hormone wise, how could she resist? I would be putty, putty in his hands.

There was talk of NZ hurricanes did anyone see that Hurricane Richard had made landfall in Belize earlier in the week no damage I think so I don't feel bad making the joke. Please kick me if I'm wrong.

What will we do when this thread is full up? RA in Spooks Redux? RA in Anything? I won't be able to live without my daily fix

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 29/10/2010 23:44

So which series is this, theresaholeinyourmind?

A further question: what will we do when we have scrutinised every fan video on YT and have offered our learned comments upon them?

Meow75 · 29/10/2010 23:46

ASmallBunch, kid enrolled at Harrow school for the Spring Term too. He might visit ...

Oh oh oh, Santander on NOW for the first time I realised that I was right about THAT VOICE. where are those smelling salts.

Would it be wrong of me to imagine my own preference of how RA might have been dressed while his voice was being recorded for Santander et al?!?!

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 29/10/2010 23:50

Well, they say that the pictures are better on radio! I would be hoping for this!

Good night all.

brooke73 · 29/10/2010 23:51

Not at all, I would be veering towards partially undressed/maybe some sort of black leather undergarment.........

Theresaholeinyourmind · 29/10/2010 23:57

Series 2, Flowers. My very favourite Guy look. Love the long leather coat he appears in sometimes. I could have slapped the sherriff for pawing him. Grrrrr

Re the fan videos, well
I) There ae an awful lot of them
2) A serious researcher always examines her sources more than once to make sure she squeezes every last drop of raunch information out of them

MrsLucasNorth · 30/10/2010 01:24

Theresahole - i've been watching same episode on dvd this eve - am doing it via scene selection though as can't be arsed with all the dross in between.

Even if it wasn't RA playing Gisbourne, I can't for the life of me imagine how any normal woman in her right mind would fancy Robin Hood?!

Fettle · 30/10/2010 08:42

Yay!! It wasn't me and all the youtubing but a fault with BT broadband !! Phew!!!! Still can't watch YouTube though on my phone so will have to wait til home!

I feel RA may have had hold of mr for longer than I thought as we recently started banking with Santander and drive an audi! [hhmm]

I'd like to think of him reading the adverbs in a crisp open-necked shirt with the sleeves rolled up just perfectly to see his muscular forearms.

Fettle · 30/10/2010 08:45

Adverts!!! Predictive texting always gets me!

Adverbs!! That really would be starting a far too intellectual conversation for this thread to discuss adverbs!!Grin

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 30/10/2010 11:07

On the vexed question of why Marian does not succumb to Guy's unquestionable but slightly sleazy charms, I think it is because she is Very Young and so does not Fully Understand unlike we middle aged ladies. Ditto for Miss Hale with Mr Thornton.

I knew there had to be a good reason why every bank we bank with has been taken over by Santander! Sadly, though, theresaholeinyourmind, any good researcher also knows better than to trust fully to sources found online. Except MN of course. [hconfused]

Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/10/2010 12:46

Sleazy? SLEAZY, Flowers?. Sleazy is good mwah ha ha. I am seeing him again tonight anyway.

Worry not, though, I am already aware that I need wider resources than those found on line. I have already begun trawling through several rather trashy but bodicerippingly delcious historical novels important historical documents to get a feel for the zeitgeist.(The Scarlet Lion by Elizabeth Chadwicke if you are interested, though I know Flowers only reads the Classics. Plenty of interseting characters like King John's half brother nicknamed Longespee because he used a sword several inches longer than usual. Rumours, apparently, abounded that the appelation didn't refer to his sword alone.
There is lots of lovely local colour, anyway, and some swiving. It's important to know these technical terms if one wants to feel at home in the period)

Mrs LN, I like your sense of priorities. Perhaps you might suggest a way of my getting hold of some RH DVDs myself. A bit tricky because I totally rubbished the show when I first saw it. ''Ho ho look at that ridiculous anachronistic costume..''

Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/10/2010 12:48

S**t I meant to proofread

MrsLucasNorth · 30/10/2010 12:59

I've actually got a couple of dvds from the library. Did an online search and they've got 4 or 5 different ones - would not bother buying tbh - best bits pretty much all on YouTube.
Strikeback arrived this morning Grin

Fettle · 30/10/2010 13:20

Oh mrsLN do tell what strike back is like!!Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/10/2010 15:52

OOoh, must get those, LeQ.
But I do like a gentleman occasionally. And William is lovely to his wife which I guess wasn't usual for the timee.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/10/2010 16:08

PS LeQ, please dont tell Ms C I said her novels were trashy. I was only aiming for jocular.

MrsLucasNorth · 30/10/2010 16:09

'...the unshaven, steely-eyed BadBoy knows how to give a girl a good (albeit ever-so-slightly naughty, and ideally slightly rough) time...'
LeQueen - you really should consider a second career writing fan porn lit Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/10/2010 17:16

So, I was thinking idly while peeling the carrots earlier on, how do we rate the comparative skills of the various RA incarnations when ''giving a girl a good time'', as LeQueen so eloquently puts it.
I am sure everyone has their own opinion. Mine is very tentative as I haven't seen all that much to know, but on instinct
1st. Has to be Lucas. Man of the modern world, old enough to have been around
2nd. Mr Thornton. Gorgeous, but not too adventurous maybe, as his busy life/streak of Northern puritanism has probably not allowed him much opportunity for trips to the Folies and the collection of French postcards.
3rd. Guy. Rough soldierly droit de seigneur technique. Not that he needs to bother with foreplay though. In fact I can invisage him having to pin his lady down to stop over-enthusiatic reaction and growl (in his ''beg'' voice)
WAIT for ME

Go on shoot me down

MrsLucasNorth · 30/10/2010 18:46

Theresahole - if I was thinking like that about Guy whilst chopping carrots I'd have lost a finger!!!

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 30/10/2010 19:40

Evening all.

So glad you agree with my in-depth psychological analysis, LeQueen. Not sure I am qualified to judge the three gentlemen's, ahem, aptitudes, but I remain convinced that Mr Thornton's lantern-jawed smouldering, determination and devotion to his lady would stand him in very good stead in any situation.

And I had a few random thoughts today to help LeQueen with her work in progress. Methinks Guy, as a man of the world, would not wish to be confined to his barn conversion. He would have a Manly Job, such as geologist. He might go to an earthquake zone, where there would be an earth tremor and suddenly all his clothes would fall off. Or he might become The Doctor's newest assistant and, as they traverse a particularly turbulent wormhole in deep space, suddenly all Guy's clothes might be sucked into a space-time vortex.

And Twitter trivia - have you noticed that Lucas has a new slightly haggard photo?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/10/2010 20:13

''Theresahole - if I was thinking like that about Guy whilst chopping carrots I'd have lost a finger!!!''

Only a wee little cut, Mrs LN. I was quite willing to pay the price. Even without him volunteering to suck it.

Flowers, I am sure you are right about Mr Thornton. He wasn't doing too badly in that final scene of N&S.

Guy was beautifully frowny and shouty tonight Sigh

LeQueen, has Lucas made an appearance yet? (Sorry still can't do italics)

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 30/10/2010 20:22

Did you mean , theresaholeinyourmind?

Gives a whole new meaning to Saturday Night Fever.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/10/2010 20:26

Oooh, yes, Flowers,no wiggly Travolta hips necessary either
