I definitely would.

Maybe twice.

If RA is going to be in the Hobbit filming starts next Feb - Lucas must be killed off oat least written out at the end of this series of Spooks, as it usually films Feb-Aug each year....

brooke73 · 22/10/2010 13:55

Like that one too, quite like Depeche Mode so music did'nt put me off.
Can't help feeling that RA has been miscast as a dwarf? Shock
I don't think it will have the same swoon factor as his previous roles.
Also, no -one has mentioned him as Harry in Dibley - quite like to think this is the closest to RA in RL- personality wise. (hate to think of him as a knobhead - as was previously suggested by someone!).

Pixieonthemoor · 22/10/2010 14:05

No no no this is all wrong - surely he cant possibly have been cast as a dwarf?? The dwarves in the Lord of the Rings films were really squat, had prosthetic noses and were really aesthetically challenged!! Surely, if anything, he should be an elf ie tall and good looking??? Weird casting if true.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 22/10/2010 14:05

He reminds me a bit too much of Hugh Grant in Dibley, to be honest, brooke. But hey, he is still RA and as I said earlier he's even welcome to be a knobhead, the guy has to have some faults after all.

Mrs LN, it seems they will be shooting the Hobbit in the UK so maybe some hope. And Lucas could always be off undercover or something, in 10th season Spooks eps

Theresaholeinyourmind · 22/10/2010 14:07

Pixie, didn't RA say somewhere that he was tired of being pretty?

Pixieonthemoor · 22/10/2010 14:27

I am sure you are right, Theresahole, but its going to take an awful lot of prosthesis to make him any less foxy! Wink

Theresaholeinyourmind · 22/10/2010 14:35

Yeah, too true, Pixie, like he said he hoped he would make our skin crawl when he cosied up to Marion in RH. Sorry Richard, epic fail.

Lotster · 22/10/2010 15:08

I am late to this thread, but I just had to agree, I would very much like to have sex with this man.

The only thing that could improve on this would be the extra participation of Max Brown (AKA Dimitri). It's like the english version of my Jack/Sawyer-sandwich (Lost) fantasy!

The bloke gives me a withering look whenever we watch Spooks and I involuntarily make "mmmm" noises at the sight of them. [hgrin]

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 22/10/2010 15:29

Ooh I am really excited about The Hobbit! Love Tolkien anyway so partly am just so excited they are actually going to make the damm thing after all the delays.

I can understand him wanting to do something where people are going to talk about more than his pretty face and backside Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 22/10/2010 15:41

I don't know where you got those impressions, Lotster and AB. This has been a serious intellectual and cultural discussion Grin

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 22/10/2010 17:12

Oh, yes of course Wink

MrsLucasNorth · 22/10/2010 17:45

Re the 'beg' clip if you slide the widget along to 1.32 minutes it'll save you the waiting Grin!

Lotster · 22/10/2010 17:55

Oh.. but if you wait a couple of seconds more you are rewarded with "FETCH". Woof! Yes sir.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 22/10/2010 18:04

Enjoy, ladies. But please be careful and don't remember all this while chopping veg. or waiting to cross the road. And you might get a few funny looks in the bus queue. or Sainsbos Shock

MrsLucasNorth · 22/10/2010 18:19

This is good - must admit pmsl at the choice of music...

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 22/10/2010 18:25

Ah, the thread has taken on a new lease of life. Smile

By coincidence, I was bopping around to Obsession last night and thought it was the perfect song for someone to make a fan video to. And there it is. Didn't like the other one much, Depeche Mode notwithstanding.

Oh, and I agree that Harry in the Vicar of Dibley was too much in the Hugh Grant mould. This, though, always . But .

Theresaholeinyourmind · 22/10/2010 18:29

Well I have to go watch telly, RH is on, thanks BBC Entertainment,
This week it's the one with the reverse gratuitous tunic-doffing with butt shimmy

Keep bumping him whilst I'm gone...

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 22/10/2010 18:36

With the what??!!

Thank you, MrsRA. We ladies of a certain age can be a little, ahem, susceptible. That is why we prefer our gentlemen to be 190 years old. They understand that, after a swoon, a lady needs to picked up in their manly arms, held against their muscular torso and carried gently to a chaise longue.

Oops. Daydreaming again.

SiriusStar · 22/10/2010 22:03

RA would have to be playing an elf, playing Mr Thornton to be 190 yrs old with a muscular torso. Mmmm, that's actually sounding quite pleasant.

brooke73 · 22/10/2010 22:26

I fear RA playing an elf is not going to do his incredible sexual charm in depth character portrayal any justice. After watching this weeks Sppoks (I always save it for Friday, so I can fully appreciate RA's acting skills with a glass of wine) I am rather alarmed that there are only 3 episodes left!! What the hell are we going to do when spooks finishes???????? And so much for the blimin kitchen table!
