Had DS 6 months ago, lost most of baby weight - I'm a size 8-10, but still a bit(some days a lot) of baby ouch. Can't remember ever putting make up on, except once or twice we gone out, since then.
I try to laugh it out and joke back: "look at your fat belly".
Maybe he is only joking, but sometimes I get a bit sensitive...

Have you told your DH it upsets you? If you have and he still says it then he's an arsehole and you're not being unreasonable.

for goodness sake. You're looking after your (ie his too) child. I haven't worn make up for months, am still wearing some maternity stuff and have no money to buy new clothes so end up wearing the same stuff 4 days on the trot.

Maybe he could take some time off, look after his baby and treat you to some pampering. For your benefit of course, not his .

I had DS five months ago and I really do look rough. But DH tells me all the time I'm still lovely (love is blind).

OldestCat - quite. DH told me I was beautiful and meant it only a few hours after I had an emcs with DS. Pictures show that I looked puffy, drugged and haggard, but to him I was and always am beautiful.
