This week I’ve drank a bottle of red wine a night. I’ve had chronic diarrhea all week. I’ve just googled and it’s one of the early signs of liver damage. Today I also have a bad headache. I’m scared.

It’s amazing how much better you feel after just 48 hrs alcohol free.

Hoping that’s 72 hours now? @newme2025

Sertraline gave me terrible diarrhoea in the first few weeks. It is a fantastic anti anxiety med but you need to get over the first two weeks which aren't easy with any SSRI/SRNI and wait until they kick in. They saved my life and my children still have a mother because of those little tablets. Do be aware that if you are drinking, the diuretic effect flushes the tablet out quicker than it perhaps should do, so you won't benefit as you should. I was hitting a bottle of wine a night in COVID and prior to that I'd do 2-3 glasses in the evening for 20+years. I just enjoyed it rather than to hide any MH issues. My liver is fine - but I'm concerned about my terrible memory. Good luck OP.
