Presumably my university is not alone in having a transgender policy that states, amongst other Stonewall Speak, that transgender people may use any toilet of their choosing?

Presumably this policy will now have to change?

I've seen that the NHS and other public bodies will be issued with renewed guidance - will the same be done for universities?

This really isn't the gotcha you think it is. All you're doing is stating that you believe and understand that women genuinely feel threatened by males. You're all thinking it would be funny to terrify them by having male presenting women walk into their safe spaces to prove a point. How has it become the burden of women to fix the mess that transmen have got themselves into by destroying their bodies?

You are correct that women will be nervous of transmen in women's spaces but they won't be at risk even if it does cause confusion.

They are at risk when transwomen come into female spaces, no matter how well they pass.

Has it occurred to you that transmen are actually safer this was too? If transwomen go to a female prison it is only right transmen go to a male prison, yes? Are you comfortable with a small person with a vagina in a male prison? No one ever seems to care about trans men do they in all this?

The head of our research group has been posting memes complaining about the ruling. So not much has changed in that it’s still very dangerous career wise to make public certain viewpoints.

Would be great if the union could a) comply with the law and b) prioritize when hundreds/thousands of jobs are going down the shitter while the sector is in crisis
