put off....not out off, which would be weird

alwayslookingforanswers · 22/11/2009 22:42

SS - just make sure you've planted up your current plots with seeds before you expand. Then you know that tomorrow you'll have more money coming in to add the new plots on the expansion .

Yeah clover is definitely best for XP, but then you want money to expand so can plant more plots of other stuff as well.......depends whether you've after the XP or the cash I guess

alwayslookingforanswers · 22/11/2009 22:43

I thought you meant you were off out to the pub for a drink to contemplate your next tactical move while you waited for your crops to be ready

SarahSon · 22/11/2009 22:45

The mill is loads better in terms of time, made a huge difference IMO...although I am thinking I should sell it all and stick to chickens as they make loads and are fast too. If it were possible to sell the things on the farm I would probably have done that already!

alwayslookingforanswers · 22/11/2009 22:48

yea it is better in terms of time, but then Im thinking if you've got say 50 plots for wheat the mill is "losing" you 50 coins a harvest, potentionally 100 coins a day...........

SarahSon · 22/11/2009 23:13

hmm, you are right...I tend to look at the time over the money in so far as I like to come on and get it all sorted out asap rather than spending ages watching animals eat IYSWIM...!

alwayslookingforanswers · 22/11/2009 23:17

yeah - I thinking that too - my ketchup machine is processing 3 lots of tomatoes in almost the time it takes the sheep to do one bleeding bit of wheat. I've just expanded - and am waiting for current wheat in barn to get used up..........then I'm buying a mill instead .

alwayslookingforanswers · 22/11/2009 23:50

have just sent you a ketchup machine.

Revamped my farm as well. Still not happy with it though - thinking I could do with more clover plots...........

alwayslookingforanswers · 22/11/2009 23:53

you cow - just been on your farm (as I suddenly realised YOUR xp had shot up) and see you've bought the fertilizer too.

I'll get you, I will...................

SarahSon · 23/11/2009 00:03

I am pushing towards the 18.... just because you threatened me...

I think you are bringing out my competative streak

Just noticed your mill, it is a good move! Thank you for the ketchup machine I have been hoping for one for ages (well it seems like ages although I think I only joined the game a week ago lol)

alwayslookingforanswers · 23/11/2009 00:09

hhhrumph - yes well I sent the ketchup machine before I saw what you were up to .

SarahSon · 23/11/2009 00:13

For some reason this game has captured my imagination far more than FV did, possibly because it is achieveable whereas the prospect of spending more than a year clicking 1200 times an average of 1.5 times a day (or whatever it is) does put me off a bit (yes I am a flake)

alwayslookingforanswers · 23/11/2009 00:14

don't forget CL is only a month or two old.........give it time and I'm sure they'll add more stuff as well/make more challenges

FV is still my top game, probably as I'm so far on with it so giving up now simply ISN'T an option LOL

SarahSon · 23/11/2009 00:30

Yes, I understand that...I suspect, if I had joined FV earlier, I would be the same. The expansions happened at the wrong time for me, I was about half way through the game. Suddenly I was about one quater of the way through the game...it was a bit of a demotion, especially as the crops you had already done were ignored.

However, with CL I am fairly far along now, not too close to the end but enough that additions will be a welcome extension rather than a knockback IYSWIM.

[takes it all too seriously emoticon]

SarahSon · 23/11/2009 00:31

Oh, I got my expansion btw

SarahSon · 23/11/2009 00:34

Ooh oh... I made 18...

I will be quiet now!

alwayslookingforanswers · 23/11/2009 00:36

I got my expansion hours ago .

Level 17 tomorrow morning.........who knows what tomorrow night

SarahSon · 23/11/2009 00:40

Well I am storming towards my next expansion

And I will be on level 23 by morning of course

You realise I am pinning my hopes on this busy period you have coming up if i have any chance of staying ahead of you?!

alwayslookingforanswers · 23/11/2009 00:44

LOL - no it really is busy.

So busy that I've even gone and bought a family planner calendar that includes the end of this year just to make sure I don't miss anything.

This week (so far) I have:

Seeing my Carer Support worker tomorrow at 11.30
Friend coming over for coffee straight after school for an hour at 3.30
Tuesday evening taking DS1 to his concert and watching his choir singing
Wednesday lunchtime DH's weekly meeting with his team
Wednesday evening meeting out of the house
Thursday afternoon Toddlers
Thursday evening meeting here

I can't remember the following week (hence needing to transfer a million things to the calendar tomorrow to make sure I don't forget anything) - but it's no better

SarahSon · 23/11/2009 00:53

Sounds busy!

Actually it sounds nice busy, friends out and about with ds, choir concert..sounds like a great (if a little rushed) week! I hope the next week is as busy for as nice reasons IYSWIM!

Niecie · 23/11/2009 10:21

Sarahson, do I have you as a neighbour? Most of my MN neighbours are now a mystery to me so who knows.

If you want to add me feel free. Email is shown on 13/11 at about 13.00

desertgirl · 23/11/2009 17:17

aaaagh I did not want to know about Country Life. FT and FV are bad enough. I did need neighbours though, and asked niecey, and she kindly introduced me to CL.... now I am something like level 3 and beginning to get a bit of an idea what is going on... help I need to walk away now!!

how do you know how many mastery points you have on FV? I think I can't have very many as I keep changing crops, but can't work out where they are.

sweetkitty I asked you to be friends on FB... anyone else still needing neighbours? I don't want to go through the whole thread pestering people who already have 347 and don't need any more
