I'm in (at last) and everything is there

simpson · 21/11/2009 22:51

is saying if my game does not load within 10 seconds (whixch it didn't obv.)I need to upload my version of flash

Maybe this is the problem with RCK too

Niecie · 21/11/2009 22:51

OMG that spreadspread sheet is colour coded.

I am feeling inadequate now.

And as for the FV Manager - if that is the sort of calculation process you can go through I fully predict FV will be a degree subject in its own right by the start of the next academic year.

I'm off to feed the cows some clover for a while. I'm in too! Yippee.

alwayslookingforanswers · 21/11/2009 22:52

I feeding cows, chickens, sheep and making ketchup

alwayslookingforanswers · 21/11/2009 22:54

oh and forgot about the rabbits

simpson · 21/11/2009 22:55

neiceie - my dad is a university lecturer in IT and wants to do a module on FV seriously!!

alwayslookingforanswers · 21/11/2009 23:09

arghh - got an out of sync message and can't get back in again

simpson · 21/11/2009 23:18
alwayslookingforanswers · 21/11/2009 23:20

well got back in, fed a few more animals and got chucked out again........just need to do a bit more - already planted up again - and 10,000 worth of stuff in my barn to sell..........

simpson · 21/11/2009 23:21

Awww country life not very well tonight

alwayslookingforanswers · 21/11/2009 23:27

it's not - poor thing

simpson · 21/11/2009 23:33

keep getting chcked out of FV too getting message saying FV is being enhanced

Maybe illness is catching LOL

alwayslookingforanswers · 21/11/2009 23:34

back into CL - just finishing up for the night. Haven't needed to go on FV - next lot of sunflowers not ready until lunchtime tomorrow.

SarahSon · 21/11/2009 23:40

Does anyone esle find they get the out of synch/upgrade message more often when they have the screen full size on FV? Maybe it is just a conincidence but I find if it happens a couple of times with full screen then I continue on the small screen it stops happening...

simpson · 21/11/2009 23:43

sarah - maybe thats why as I always have screen big iyswim. Have had message a few times today and always seems to be when using tractor ie doing things quickly iyswim

Ok have worked out that I should get final mastery sign thingie for pumpkins by monday morning

alwayslookingforanswers · 21/11/2009 23:44

I never do full screen so don't know.

Just waiting for my last 3 ketchups on CL then wait until tomorrow to start over, once i've taken into account replanting costs I've made about 6,000 CL coins tonight .

SarahSon · 22/11/2009 00:14

Simpson, I have found with both FV and CL that you get it far more often if you are storming ahead and clicking lots of things before one action has processed IYSWIM (like clicking a load of clover, then the feed boxes then the milk chirns then the cheese machine...all whilst the thing is still dealing with the clover...) Maybe I am in too much of a hurry

OK, my CL experience...
Mills are quicker than sheep at processing wheat
two cows keep one cheese machine stocked
on hive keeps one cow fed with polinated clover
it is best to get a few bits in the barn before you get started on a proper run to save on down times
more chickens to a coop lays eggs faster
rabbits are surprisingly quick compared to sheep
Clover, bees, honey, cows, milk, cheese give the best return in the shortest growing time but is most labour intensive
During the day fill the farm with clover and collect 4 hourly, overnight plant wheat and carrots and have a mill, sheep and rabbits to see that lot off in the morning.

I have not yet tried the ketchup machine or wine press as none of my neighbours are high enough to send me one yet [pout]

So, ALFA, if there is anything I can do to assist your progress feel free to post here and I will do my best

I honestly think this is a far better game than FV, in fact I am thinking of chucking the FV towel in, it is beginning to irritate me now!

alwayslookingforanswers · 22/11/2009 00:20

I already knew all of that - you know it tells you how quickly various things process stuff .

I've realised I've got my sheep and chickens the wrong way round - I need more coops than sheep to get more profit so tomorrow once I've harvested again going to get rid of 2 of my sheep and buy 2 more coops and swap where I plant my crops around.

I've found 3 hives does pollenates a field of 42 clover quick enough to not have to sit around for a while - but will probably increase to 4 once I've expanded again.

What level are you on? (can't remember "who" you are on FB)

SarahSon · 22/11/2009 00:39

level 14...I think!

My RCK guests are whizzing around atm so I can't check!

I figured you would probably know all that, it was more aimed at people starting out who may want to give it at try! I don't sit around for my clover, just have about 2 per cow in the barn before I start feeding IYSWIM, stock in hand

Yes chickens are more profitable than sheep but the corn takes longer to grow...I have not quite figured that one out as it needs to be calculated over a week or something....

Yes I am the saddo who sat down with their own paper and pen to work out time/cost/xp ratios on FV when I first started out I didn't realise that other people had already done that and published it!

I am trying not to link my name here to myself so I don't want to give you my initials and my photo is not really any help...oh, I sent you a bottle of wine earlier this evening when CL came back up if that helps at all?

SarahSon · 22/11/2009 00:41

Oh, yes, the time thing works on all of the animals except the bees as they are dependant on how far away the clover is from the hive, that is why my hives are dotted around inside the clover rather than in a neat line somewhere [overthoughtit emoticon]

alwayslookingforanswers · 22/11/2009 00:43

I'm level 14 too. Corn does take longer to grow that's true, but if you have a few more chicken coops and more of it must work out more profitable?? Perhaps LOL.

I'll be level 15 tomorrow - and hopefully expand to again by Tuesday

I have 3 per cow in my barn before I start

simpson · 22/11/2009 10:50

Just worked out that my crop of pumpkins just planted is 13 short of final mastery level

Oh well, have to wait till tomorrow morning now

SarahSon · 22/11/2009 11:26

How frustrating Simpson - TBH that is why I am losing the will with FV, doing the ribbons was achievable, all these mastery things seems a bit too much... of course, being an addict I will probably do them anyway

ALFA, I am halfway through 16 on CL, selling myself short
I hope to get to 17 this evening but it may be tomorrow. The main thing I need is neighbours so if you fancy suggesting me to any of your friends I would not object

simpson · 22/11/2009 11:40

sarahson - have you got me??

Am on level 14 I think

And everything was there this morning when I managed to get in country life

SarahSon · 22/11/2009 12:12

Yes I do have you Simpson!

For those who are trying to recognise me, I am trying to make sure my intials don't appear here but I have 4 cows and 2 cheese machines and am halfway through level 16... hope that is enough
