ABloke · 24/11/2008 10:40

yes it's Baltic here. Absolutely! [practicing]

mummylin2495 · 24/11/2008 10:52

isnt it wierd how some words we just cant remember how to spell them .There are a couple i always have to think twice about and am a reasonable speller usually. Yes Abloke ,think we will have to buy some thermals to keep warm this winter as its cold already and this is only the start of it,have you got snow ?

Tn0g · 24/11/2008 17:13

lolo at you hiding keys.

I sense all out war.

M, 18!

Is it frightening when you think how quickly the years have flashed by?

Tn0g · 24/11/2008 17:17

Wotz, have a tea break and come chat...

oh, G had grade 1 piano exam today.

Had to sit in a tiny, very hot, little room with lots of children and parents 'til his name was called out.

He remained very calm despite a lot of very wobbly, nervous parents and dc.

The examiner was French, which G thought was cool, and he gets his results in a couple of weeks.

Waltzywotzy · 24/11/2008 17:31

hello

Waltzywotzy · 24/11/2008 17:33

I expect he has passed with flying colours.

DD2 is annoying me she keeps losing things, she is a magician. She can make things vanish faster than I can find them.

Waltzywotzy · 24/11/2008 17:36

I am pushing the PMT away and trying not to SHOUT at her. She is a good girl, just very untidy and remember 10 mins before she needs something that she lost it days ago.

dd1 then clears up dd2s hides things (homework folder under the TV) . Like i'd look there!

Tn0g · 24/11/2008 17:40

I think solitude is the only solution sometimes when you have PMT,

but it's the one thing you can't really have when you've got a family.

Tis cruel.

Waltzywotzy · 24/11/2008 17:46

Very cruel

I just said to DH if I could bank all my time that I spend looking for their things (memory like a sieve) I would be able to reclaim about 2 years of my life back for myself.

Thank goodness I no longer have small toys to find and polly pocket shoes to pair up anymore.

Waltzywotzy · 24/11/2008 17:47

If it wasn't so cold I might go for a walk.

MIL and FIL here too ATM, so double scream. I have offered no tea or coffee either. dd has brownies in a minute. I might drive home the long way round!

Tn0g · 24/11/2008 17:49

or pieces of lego to stand on and toy cars to nearly break your neck on

I told G it was easier to manage him when he was a baby than it is now.

I spend my whole time shrieking and correcting and reminding.

Tn0g · 24/11/2008 17:50

Oh God wotzy

Yes take a detour

Waltzywotzy · 24/11/2008 17:51

I cooked and froze my spuds for Christmas one year. They weren't as nice at all cooked the next day. I par boiled and froze them (MN tip) what a waste of time and freezer space that was!

No I like big mayhem on the day, no fuss, no schedule. I Do prepare (wash and cut) all the veg the day before and keep it cold in the "out buildings" (arf) like I have out buildings...OK the conservatory.

Waltzywotzy · 24/11/2008 17:54

yes I must be off in a minute

I am hiding here

So much easier - especially when you could strap them into something and you know they'd still be there 5 mins later and ready to go out. I spend my whole time shouting "where are you, we need to go"?

Tn0g · 24/11/2008 17:59

LOL at out buildings

My granny used to refer to the outside loo as, 'The outbuilding'

Yeah, I agree, Wotzy, I'd rather have mad panic on the day than be all ultra-prepared

Tis more fun really.

I remember one year just being too drunk to actually put the turkey in the oven, just kept laughing uncontrollably.

Tn0g · 24/11/2008 18:02

Yes, tis a lot more difficult when they have a mind of their own

Can be dangerous.

Ah well, thank God we can chat on here and laugh [ in a mad hysterical way ] about it all

Waltzywotzy · 24/11/2008 18:17

I'm back, was probably best not to be on the road for too long.

It would have been like that old joke. I have seen lots of accidents but never been in one...(mayhem left in wake of me driving with PMT).

My mum, when she was a child had to use the outbuilding (loo) and would dread it, no light and spiders. Times were very different.

Waltzywotzy · 24/11/2008 18:19

I like to start with a bucks fizz and then keep going. We don't do any driving on Christmas day. Very relaxed. I remember dh once served the spuds up in the roasting tin as we were a bit past caring! They were very nice too.

mummylin2495 · 24/11/2008 19:24

yes tnog its very frightenein how quickly the time has passed ! always have a houseful on xmas day so i do prepare everything the night before. If dd and family dont come over for dinner ,we always go and visit her on xmas morning so we can watch our gd,s opening their presents.so i have to do veg and stuff night before or would never get done,as it is we normally end up having dinner between 3 and 4pm !!!! at the moment we dont know if we have 6 or 9 for dinner that day.
