did your ds do sums in his head when he was five

I dare not ask on mn well on the main bit

this is a bit like a siding

Tn0g · 23/11/2008 20:27

He probably is very drawn to the English language because it's your mother tongue.

CindersHasACrystalBall · 23/11/2008 20:30

lol

I like talking to you

you flip off to read back

then Im pondering on who was cleaning the sink ....hhmmm think it ws your dh

mine just dumps things in it ....
no I lie he does help ..

Tn0g · 23/11/2008 20:30

No I don't think G did that, CC.

Your boy sounds very bright and that's great.

Does he like books?

Tn0g · 23/11/2008 20:32

YES!

it was dh cleaning the sink.

He did a good job too.

Tn0g · 23/11/2008 20:33

He did the dinner too later on and made mashed potato.

I think he enjoyed the mashing a little too much, probably imagining it was my head.

CindersHasACrystalBall · 23/11/2008 20:33

flip

I wanted you to say yes

has to be in the right mood to snuggle down and listen

but he loves flap and pop up books too

books are wonderful

I think it is lovely if a child goes back to read an old favourite book..

CindersHasACrystalBall · 23/11/2008 20:35

lol....mashed pots yum....

I made really garlicy pasta.....

feel like making a massive veg chilli tomorrow.....

Tn0g · 23/11/2008 20:38

but children all do different things at different stages and some have very special abilities from a young age.

All to be encouraged and fostered,

G is very good and was good from an early age at memorising things from books, his teacher says he has photographic memory.

That's great and hopefully will be a big aid in his ability to learn but he is the most fogetful child when it comes to remembering his schoolbooks, coat, shoes etc.

So long as they're loved, secure and happy that's all that really matters.

Your ds has a love of numbers, that's fantastic.

I'd be very proud.

Tn0g · 23/11/2008 20:41

Chilli would be lovely, very warming and healthy.

I do wish I could cook.

Set fire to the grill the other day.

Proper flames.

I screamed and G got all excited and started yelling, 'we're all about to die.'

Dh managed in a cack-handed way to sort it out.

Kitchen still stinks.

CindersHasACrystalBall · 23/11/2008 20:43

I have a fear of numbers maybe we all learn more through our children than we realise

was a tad weird when he was weeny and in his pushchair and would call out numbers in the supermarket

people would look

oh my gosh

CindersHasACrystalBall · 23/11/2008 20:45

oh dear to the grill

lol at G

cooking comes down to timing .....

CindersHasACrystalBall · 23/11/2008 20:46

whispers

are you doing the cooking at christmas...

Im trying to think of something very simple

but yummy

Tn0g · 23/11/2008 20:48

He is bright, CC, and whatever he's going to be and whatever his abilities and talents they're all there, within him.

He sounds quite a strong little character too.

He may go far.

Tn0g · 23/11/2008 20:50

I am doing the cooking CC

God help me.

Have neighbour coming and my parents and mil.

Will do Turkey or possibly goose or duck for meat-eaters and don't know about for me.

Tn0g · 23/11/2008 20:53

You see that's why I am such a bad cook.

timing.

Yes, I put food on to cook and forget about it.

forget to set the timer to remind to look at food that's cooking.

Nightmare.

CindersHasACrystalBall · 23/11/2008 20:55

champers will help.....

family will help

you will have a lovely day

CindersHasACrystalBall · 23/11/2008 20:56

ps

just allow yourself

EXTRA time

night night

Tn0g · 23/11/2008 20:59

Bye, CC.

Have a good week.

Tell us how dh and dd get on.

Family will help with food, infact my mother and mil will end up doing it all as I sit at the kitchen table sozzled telling everyone how much I really, really love them, with a paper hat on my head.

Tn0g · 23/11/2008 21:01

Extra,

I couldn't do extra time.

How would I manage that?

CindersHasACrystalBall · 23/11/2008 21:01

it is good to tell them you love them

I will return

off to stuff the laptop somewhere

have a good week

CindersHasACrystalBall · 23/11/2008 21:02

stop laughing....

you simply start the day before

lol

bye

Tn0g · 23/11/2008 21:06

The day before?

Are you mad?

why in the hell would I do that?

No

I'd rather have the thrill of a near burning house and flame-grilled food, CC

ABloke · 24/11/2008 10:31
