M I think a lot of us are going to be pleased when this year is over. Its been a tough one, has it not?

mummylin2495 · 21/11/2008 14:09

Me too M, Me too.

mummylin2495 · 22/11/2008 10:26

good news this end ,dd,s partner has got another job to start on monday,he is a hard worker and he has a good reputation amongst the building companies down here.so thats one less worry ,i wish that he could now go on and quit the drink and then he will be able to move bak with dd,but i think this will take quite a while yet. he has in fact had the offer of a job from two companies !!

OP posts:
Tn0g · 22/11/2008 10:41

That's great news, M.

mummylin2495 · 22/11/2008 11:03

yes its a huge relief ,been a very unsettling few days this end. i did speak to him last night when he phoned here to spak to dd[ she was here having a chat and a cuppa ] and told him he had done well to get another job so quickly.Had quite a long chat and it seems it isnt ACAS who are taking on his case its another one called ACUP or something, its a construction workers help line. The company who has dismissed him are now backtracking and saying they were only laying him off till january when he could of gone back !!! this is because the helpline have already been in touch with them ,so obviously they dont want to end up paying out for wrongful dismissal, they are also helping a couple of the other workers laid off as it seems they too have a claim.

Brilliant news
Norks and fingers crossed for your results to, ml.

Tnog are you busy with work?

I am up to my eyes/ears/pointy hair top. Christmas is looming, nothing sorted. Although a few bits bought online. I have PMT so I won't be on much as all I want to do is rant about everything , and its not that bad in truth. I bought some magic knickers the other day, that's enough to depress anyone!

Tn0g · 22/11/2008 11:16

Yes, busy, busy, busy

Actually I am

christmas is looming and I'm panicking at the cost of everything

I want to do simple, I long to do simple, candles and midnight mass and carols and log fire

Tn0g · 22/11/2008 11:17

Oh and I'm thinking positive things about your bazooms M

Waltzywotzy · 22/11/2008 11:18

Yes So do I, I think dd2 is just teasing me that she still believes in santa.

Tn0g · 22/11/2008 11:20

I'm all pmty

Had a good old rant this morning at My poor old mother about my brother

started off all calm and then suddenly launched into stuff he did to me about 10 years ago and how upset I still feel, all a load of twaaddle.

She called him immediately and told him to apologize.##

I feel so bad and petty and horrible.

mummylin2495 · 22/11/2008 11:21

magic knickers ???? yes i hope all well with my test but dont feel worried about it at all,but no doubt when the envelope drops through the door my heart will start beating faster.I too have to get on with xmas ,tnog your ideas with log fire etc sound so lovely

She is getting dh's old laptop (so no big surprise there)!

It will be strange for you from last Christmas. I will say a little prayer. I am going to go to church this year. I normally don't. I might just wander in and do some sitting for a bit on my own. I have done that before, it's nice.

Tn0g · 22/11/2008 11:21

G doesn't believe.

I do though

mummylin2495 · 22/11/2008 11:22

its obviously bothered you tnog ,enough to want to get it off your chest.

OP posts:
Tn0g · 22/11/2008 11:23

I regularly take time to sit in empty church and just think.

mummylin2495 · 22/11/2008 11:24

bye the way wotz i looked at your link, beautiful pictures. And yes i remember you posting about your old friend.

OP posts:
Tn0g · 22/11/2008 11:25

I know M but mam is 70 odd and she's still having to put up with my rants and having to mediate.

I know that's what mothers do and all that but God I need to grow up emotionally.

Waltzywotzy · 22/11/2008 11:26

Yes you need to get things sorted. Next year I am going to speak to my sister. She is coming over in Feb. I am avoiding going out to see her and the children are missing her and want to go and visit. Things can eat away at you. In a way I wish I had listened to DH as he wanted me to sort it out right then and there and we would all be so much further donw the line. Things might have been acknowledge, sorrys exchanged, time passed, time to forgive. Anyway time to forgive.

mummylin2495 · 22/11/2008 11:26

its amazing how our brain retains so many things. My brothers laugh at me because i have been moaning about having my coat cut all these years ,they are hoping i will now let it drop ,i will but not until i have caught up with said old friend !!!
