Oh dear. I’m sorry to hear this! Is he also a vegan?!

AnnaQuayRules · 11/10/2026 17:45

So, he has a hobby which he enjoys and which is very sociable?

I would be fine with that. I live in fear of one of my DC announcing they are joining Reform. I think I'd have to disinherit them.......

FusionChefGeoff · 11/10/2026 17:56

It takes some balls to be that geeky you should be proud 😁😁

Is he single?

Asking for a friend.

SweatyGibbon · 11/10/2026 17:59

Nothing wrong with it, if that's his thing

CurlewKate · 11/10/2026 18:02

No-not a vegan and not single. And, thank all that’s wonderful, not a member of Reform either. So, could be worse!

It probably started with your hatred of harmless activities.

MrsTerryPratchett · 11/10/2026 18:03

Passion is amazing. Whatever weird nerdy nonsense it’s attached to!

SilenceInside · 11/10/2026 18:05

I can't tell if you are being serious or ironic...

Nothing wrong with being vegan either, but perhaps that's more irony.

Agreed! I used to work in a pub and a local LARP group used to come in every Sunday, they were a great bunch!

Estrell · 11/10/2026 18:17

Ahhh so wholesome and nerdy. Love it.

Hahah whaaaat?? Nothing wrong with that!! I'd love to get involved with stuff like that! And I'm considered normal(!)

permanently · 11/10/2026 18:22

Aw does he make his own costume? Awesome!

Facecreamed · 11/10/2026 18:22

What period, though?

HHCrochetDiva · 11/10/2026 18:24

I’m proudly raising a LARPer. They’re awesome. 😁

JeffLebowski · 11/10/2026 18:26

How many swords does he have mounted on the wall?

Sorry, hope I haven't caused offence. Presumably ironic, and you are in fact actually proud of him and not in doubt about your parenting.

HoppityBun · 11/10/2026 18:31

I have friends and relatives who do this. It’s absolutely fascinating, although not for me.

It also becomes a way of life and in one case led to a permanent and happy (I think) relationship.

Which period in history? It’s astonishing what people re-create now: pretty much anything short of the Neanderthals.

NimbleTaupeTiger · 11/10/2026 18:33

Amazing 😍 what a great hobby.

CorporalJohn · 11/10/2026 18:35

It very much depends what period he re-enacts.
Prepared to tell us OP?

Cookingdoesntgettougher · 11/10/2026 18:38

@CurlewKate How could you take such a risk of outing yourself? At least put “think acting”instead 🤣
also curious what period?
