How do you pass the time on flights?

Apart from the usual reading, watching movies /downloaded tv programmes/ puzzles in book or on phone?
i still like travel books even tho there’s more info online, so often do some trip planning on the way out.
on the way back I often use the time to plan for some upcoming event or project.
So enough to keep me entertained in the above but just wondering if there’s something different I could be doing? No small DC to look after.

I tend to overthink, question my life decisions and weep.

not worthy as such, but I like to watch recordings of music concerts that I may (or may not) have been too. I then look forward to the flight as an opportunity for a mini concert/reminisce, it makes a couple of hours go really quickly for me although I have to try really hard not to sing out loud!

also a bit more random but I like to watch subtitled ‘acclaimed’ films of the country I’m going to (if not English speaking) it helps me get into the vibe of where I am travelling.

Perfect time to get to know your fellow travellers. Last time we flew long haul we got involved in a 30 person game of cherrards , even the co pilot gave it a go and did the best attempt at 'Gone with the Wind' I have ever seen.

I usually have a mix of a book, puzzle magazine (specifically KrissKross, which annoying is getting harder to find) and a women's glossy mag.

In my teens and 20s it was always listening to music, but not anymore.

I sleep. Instantly ! I'm such a crap sleeper normally but something about being on a plane knocks me out!

EmpressStorm · Today 22:28

i do the usual, watch a movie, read, doze/sleep, have a few drinks, listen to music, eat

i try to tell myself it’s now part of my holiday, so I need to enjoy it, use the time to relax, and chat to my family.

Play rock music like I am having an all night party and then next day wish I'd slept on the plane.
