Lip flip, is it painful and did you have trouble speaking?

Have this booked for first time tomorrow but having second thoughts. Is it very painful? And did you have trouble speaking? I talk alot in my job, I dont want people noticing a difference 🙈

My friend has it done and it looks really good on her. A lot better and more natural than lip filler. She says it feels very weird for the first week but fine after that. Some people say they have trouble drinking through straws, kissing etc, but apparently that is a sign of getting too much. I think you have to be the right candidate for it and it doesn’t work well on all lips, but it wears off quickly and I’d say if you want to give it a go you may as well.

Don’t do it. Everyone I know who’s had one regretted it and they look awful, I say this as somebody who is not anti plastic surgery (and has had surgery!)

It wears off so try it and see if you're curious

My friend has it done, I don't think she looks like a nobe, but then again I'm not sure what a nobe is.

She doesn't talk any differently, but I know she needs to have it topped up fairly regularly.

I quite like 'nobe'. It sounds like a somewhat regal way of calling somebody a nobber.

What the bloody hell is this now? Can’t we just be happy with how we are? It’s so sad how people seem to have lost the ability to look beyond their mirrors.

I think it's nice people can do things that make them feel more confident instead of living by the born ugly no alternative old fashioned ways

I had it done once, it had zero effect and trying to drink was annoying. Waste of money for me. It does sting a wee bit but only for a second.

It stings when being done. You can't brush your teeth without drooling all over the place (you can't tighten your lips together), I smoked at the time - it was a mess even attempting to. It looked good after week 2 and disappeared by week 4. Not worth the money, or the slobbering in the mornings tbh. Never had it done again. Oh, and speech, yes it affects you as you can't purse your lips together.

For those asking, they switch your upper and lower lips over. It's an interesting subversion of the pumped-up lower lip look.

Its botox in upper lip to stop it overly disappearing when speaking/ smiling etc. Its for those with either thin lips or large visible gums. Effectively tightens or restricts the muscle above, or of, the lip. Some people think it means turning it inside out - its not quite that dramatic though ha!

I love it, a natural lift to the top lip. The pronunciation of a „p“ can be a bit weird initially but that calms down after two to 3 weeks. Go for it and see if you like it. Not painful. Get them to numb the injection site. Try it out - it will fade away.

Christ. In a year or so someone will decide a thin upper lip is back in vogue. Where will all the trout pouts be then 🙄
