Has anyone else seen the news about what’s happening in Portsmouth this evening
A boat has arrived in Hampshire and the protesters from Dover are currently in the sea blocking passage with hundreds more on the quay blocking coaches waiting.

Both things can be true.

Oh and calling them “brave boys” there’s nothing emotive about that is there? Yes I’m sure these people are all under 18 years old. People just spread any old bullshit. Don’t answer any questions except to say “wow! you don’t believe it?” Etc.

Just go to Twitter and put 'Portsmouth' in the Search box, there are plenty of posts with video attached.

We have a group of these “patriots” locally. Every single one has a criminal record. They go around in gangs and shout abuse at any families that are not white and spit at the mosque. They aren’t really winning hearts and minds.

That would be why the British government is trying to stop people-smuggling gangs from attempting to import people, isn't it?

It's why they work with the French to deploy police to French beaches. It's why there have been arrests of smugglers and of people selling dinghies, IIRC some in countries further afield like Germany.

Why the fuck would we trust any old random on Twitter/X @EasternStandard?

If you haven’t got Twitter and don’t want to sign up (you can sign up and then delete your account but anyway) you can just google “Twitter Portsmouth boats” or something similar and you will see posts about the protestors and I think (but not sure) you can see any attached video to a post. But then you have to go back to google, you can’t get search within X without an account.
