Has anyone else seen the news about what’s happening in Portsmouth this evening
A boat has arrived in Hampshire and the protesters from Dover are currently in the sea blocking passage with hundreds more on the quay blocking coaches waiting.

Seen some of the videos and I am absolutely disgusted.

The police using pepper spray on protestors who seemed to be peaceful.

One video showed an old man laying in the road after appearing to have been pepper sprayed.

In another it looks like RNLI crew throwing water at protestors who are already freezing standing the sea.

I can't imagine the police using pepper spray at Just Stop Oil protestors and if a blocked driver had chucked water over them, the driver would have got arrested for assault.

This country is absolutely fucked and we just let it happen!

Do you know how many asylum cases Communist China granted last year ? Zero.

Last I checked, the PRC had something like 400 asylum seekers within it's borders. They don't grant it to any. They give them to the UN to deal with.

Your theme here, of do not grant asylum, is pretty much identical to the Communist Party of China.

Technically, this puts you pretty close to being Communist yourself in a way. In terms of overlapping circles on a Venn diagram anyway.

It really doesn't take much to sort the fake news (or propaganda) from real news on X.

That's why all this talk of "the far left" confuses me. Because the actual far left countries appear to me to have the exact policies on immigration that the UK far right want.

Yes, both the policies and the behaviours align (masked protest, violence, intolerance of other views, claims to believe in freedom of speech when they do no such thing and dehumanise anyone who has different views).

In my post code they have started pushing HMOs in and suddenly we have numerous incidents in the last 12 months that we never had before and HMOs are still being lined up. Government pays 54k a year for a three bed house to be converted often in to a five bed HMO. Greedy people are taking advantage. Now HMOs can be for students and other people, here its been all for immigrant men recently arrived and its causing huge problems.

There also seems to be huge media blackout and whats happening, our local primary school had to lockdown last year because of one threatening outside. Another primary a guy tried to enter a womans car. Schools circulated warnings, still they keep creating HMOs and bringing men in.

Our town centre had huge devlopment that people were excited for as the flats were going to go to for people in the broough on waiting lists. They have not. They have gone to outsiders and overwhelming majority are non-British nationals that have, from those ive spoken to, been in the country for between 2-10 years. At least 300 flats were built. Ive known families on social housing list for 20+ years here!

People who want to better their lives are all well and good and I dont blame them, but there is a huge sustainability problem and there is something deeply nefarious about the boats arriving overwhelmingly filled with adult males. As we have seen in my area, they have huge problems and just rehoming them in to residential areas very close to schools is shockingly poor judgement.

I can understand why things are now kicking off. On top of the men coming in really being a huge problem for communities…This is 30 years of kicking the can down the road, importing in cheap labour, not investing in our own country, kicking the working class while down, not building any more schools, hospitals or even prisons, we had Brexit which was always going to make this worse, but even worse than that - a political establishment that seems to detest the British working class.

There is nothing positive about this situation and its going to explode at some point! Its already on verge of really igniting in Scotland and Ireland according to family I have there.

The account that second photo was from makes it pretty clear that it's not just some random woman. It's one of their racist supporters. The fact that she felt safe around them doesn't negate the fact that other women would rightly be terrified to see masked men roaming around their streets.

But the worry’s just how many of them actually believe this nonsense.
I agree that the problem is already here. But it’s not asylum seekers. It’s people like this.

But they are supposed to claim asylum in the first safe country. Which would be France no? So why would they need to come to the Uk? France is a perfectly safe country
