True! The BBC reports that the international association of genocide scholars say Israel has met the accusation of genocide. The truth is I don’t know but certainly the reportage from mainstream media makes whats going on seem horrific. If Israel is merely defending itself then they should open themselves up to war crimes investigations.

Anyone can become a member of the international association of genocide scholars. They have called it that to make it sound like a legitimate organisation with authority and neutrality, to fool people. But its not.

Netenyahu, by far, and it’s quite depressing that a man who is heading a genocide isn’t being named more of this thread.

what about the Ayatollah? Forgot about him?

Plus there’s no genocide. The population of Gaza has increased.

Tootyfilou · 07/09/2026 10:39

Netanyahu.
Trump

Tootyfilou · 07/09/2026 10:44

Shocked that more people aren’t naming Netanyahu… he’s responsible for a literal genocide that’s happening before our eyes.
It makes me despair for humanity.

caringcarer · 07/09/2026 10:46

I think child rapist and murderers are the most evil. They often torture their innocent little victims every day for years before they are caught. They go to prison but are out in no time.

@Toomuchtoooften I like your reasoning and I’d like to be convinced. I support a Jewish state and its right to defend itself.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist but I’m not a gullible believer of everything the media says either- far from it! However, I can’t help but see the total destruction of Gaza. It’s not like Ukraine where there are bombed out buildings but somehow people are managing a semblance of everyday life (God bless them).

This is endless destruction: people living in the bare concrete shells of buildings. Then there’s the settlers moving in further and further with their caravans pushing Palestinians off their livelihoods.

I don’t believe Israel is the only country behaving dreadfully. I do believe there’s an unhealthy desire to condemn it.

The attack of 7th October was evil and despicable. BUT it seems to me that the wrong people (women, children and the vulnerable) are being wiped out as punishment .

There simply has to be a better way. If Netanyahu isn’t a war criminal he should explain himself. I feel as if we’re in a world of bully boys now. Trump’s behaviour empowers it.

The destruction in Gaza is in reaction to the actions of Hamas. Remember, be clear that Hamas have repeatedly stated that Oct 7th was not a one off and would be repeated again and again, and that Hamas and Hezbollah had fired over 30,000 rockets into Israel within one year of the anniversary of october 7th, as well as continuing to send terrorists into Israel to kill civilians.

Hamas deliberately built tunnels entrances in hospitals and schools, and houses and hostages have reported being taken in and out of tunnels through such builidngs. Hezbollah also have a tunnel network in Lebonan

Hamas used the first ceasefire to plant thousands of IEDs in civilian homes and tower blocks. These buildings needed to be destroyed - they would never again be habitable or safe.

Hamas have openly stated how they seek to use civilians as shields and how they need the death of their civilians to fortify their fighters. And we can believe them as they spent many many years and a huge amount of money building a multi layer tunnel network under Gaza of hundreds of miles yet built not bomb shelters for civilians and did not let them in the tunnel network.

Despite Hamas's callous use of the death of its own people for its own ends, Israel, at risk to its own soldiers, has conduced an urban war with the lowest combatant to civilian death ratio of any urban war.

I'm sorry, but the bias against Israel is awful in the way people view this war. People have no interest in exploring any of the context, or why anything is happening, Hamas is completely written out of the narrative of this war, despite the fact that their actions throughout, from start to finish, have dictated how this defensive war was conducted (and of course the fact that it was fought in the first place).

MoonDancer1 · 06/09/2026 19:50

Just because it isn't a genocide, which has a very specific legal definition doesn't mean it's not a horrific war and that far too many innocent people are being killed and it doesn't mean Netenyahu and the IDF aren't committing war crimes. So just because people think it's not a genocide doesn't mean they think it's all fine and dandy. Hamas knew this would happen. They did it because other Arab countries were starting to make peace with Israel. They have stockpiled food in the tunnels in preparation for this and refused to allow Palestinians into the tunnels or to have access to food and safety. They are equally responsible for the destruction and death toll as they are doing nothing to prevent it, and are actively enabling more deaths. All in order to win a propaganda war where they are suddenly the poor oppressed heroes fighting for their land. They are all despicable.

If you look at the facts Israel has conducted this war to have an exceptionally low death count, Hamas has conducted it in a way to maximise civilian deaths of their own civilians and Israeli civilians.

You are continuing the fine tradition of genocide libellers simply stating assertions without making any case for those assertions then, and not making any evidence refutation of the counter claims.

Why did Hamas started a war with Israel without building a single bomb shelter to protect its civilians?
Why did Hamas embed military infrastructure into hospitals and schools? (a war crime btw)
Why did some of their tunnels open out into children’s bedrooms?
Why did Hamas combatants fight wearing civilian clothing? (Another war crime)

Finally, how is it that the Hamas top brass are billionaires? Any ideas?

You sound like a propagandist for Israel and the IDF but the myth that the IDF is the most moral army in the world has worn very thin and people don't believe this any more in light of the terrible war crimes that have been revealed, such as using rape as a weapon of war.

In May 2026, the United Nations added Israel to its blacklist of countries that commit sexual violence in warzones for the first time. Official UN reports have verified dozens of conflict-related cases, outlining a pattern of abuse intended to humiliate, punish, and displace the Palestinian population.

I do have an interest in trying to understand the context. I support a Jewish state. Partly as a Christian but mostly because the driving influence in my life, my values and political beliefs has stemmed from learning about the Holocaust.

I have an unshakable belief that Jewish people must have a place to go. I don’t want them to need to go but I believe it must be in place. I worry though about what that means for others in that region who seem to be pushed out by settlers. I absolutely know Israel gets a worse press than other countries similarly involved in expansion.

Hamas are idiotic bastards who have caused horrendous harm to Jews and Palestinians alike. I just can’t see Netanyahu’s end game here. If it isn’t either killing or driving out Gazans, respectfully what is it?

He must be terrible at ‘literal genocide’ then, seeing as he warned the Gazan of where and when attacks were coming so they could find shelter. Gaza’s population keeps going up! I’ll post some links or images later, comparing Gaza with actual genocides. And as a PP said, the ‘International group of Genocide Scholars’ was found to be a bogus organisation which anyone could join, the only qualification to join being a strong desire to demonise Israel.

My evil leaders are the Supreme Leader Ayatollahs of Iran and the IIRG, who killed 10s of 1000s of their own people in a week, and continue their murderous regime, and the Taliban leaders who have made their own female citizens into living shrouds with zero rights whatsoever. I had to laugh at the responses saying it’s just as bad for women here or in the US.

TheABC · 08/09/2026 07:25

In terms of sheer damage, Putin (Chechnya and Ukraine wars), Assad (Syrian civil war) and the leader of the Taliban.

I'm going for pure impact instead of personal evil and it says a lot about the 20th century that even these guys are in the foothills of death compared to the tens of millions who died of famine China and the Soviet Union. The only thing comparable today would be the Sudanese and Yemani wars which are being stirred by multiple groups.

Trump is a malignant narcissist and everything he touches turns to shit, but the Iran war hasn't produced massive casualties yet (in term of direct death).

Sadly the genocide apologists are out in full force here.

You and everyone else on here know perfectly well that there’s been no genocide. The UN has even attempted to change the definition of the word so they can apply it to the war in Gaza, because that’s how much they hate Israel.

But you’re all loving it! You can accuse us of committing or supporting a made up crime. When we inevitably say ‘it didn’t happen’ you then get to call us ‘genocide deniers’. What larks! How marvellous for you, that you can wear your racism as righteousness while putting the Jews into a fun catch-22. Yay you.

The word ‘genocide’ was coined specifically to describe the Holocaust. Weaponising the Jews’ trauma by baselessly accusing the world’s only Jewish state of the same crime is about as antisemitic as it gets. I hope you’re proud.
