Best Amazon order screw-up?

This is a good one I reckon. Order was for a music stand light - instead I’ve just received a cat collar. 🤣 Shame we don’t have a cat really!

For once in my life, an online order error went my way!

6 years ago, Amazon order for two boxes of tampons. £3 total. Lived very rurally then, and It was a proper emergency. Got mistakenly sent a big parcel of absolutely top end facial treatment products! Total cost about £250. Pricey serums, new Korean stuff, you name it.

Didn't solve my period issue, but, wow!

I ordered a sausage dog keyring, about £3 for a friends birthday, I was sent a huge plush/cuddly toy panda which was nearly 2 metres tall! - Amazon literally shrugged and said keep it and sent me out another keyring. I gave it to one of my nieces who loved it, but how do you mix up a tiny keyring with a huge plush panda?!

Ordered £1000 sofa. The handle for the recliner was missing (still worked but plastic handle was missing so you had to pull a metal handle instead), messaged them on chat and told them and they sent me a whole new £1000 sofa and told me to keep both! Ordered panty liners and received a steam mop which they also told me to keep!

First one not from Amazon, but from one of those huge online furniture stores.

Bought a pressure washer attachment - when I opened the box (product box was delivery box not an extra brown box on top) found that instead of the product inside there was two other smaller boxes of totally diff items with Amazon address labels nowhere near us aka the delivery driver had nicked it and put something else in the box so it didn’t feel empty.

Also, last December was putting up Christmas lights, and had an open set of lights lying on the floor next to the fence ready to wrap round…ring doorbell filmed Amazon driver nicking them.

Delightful they are.

I ordered a sports watch and I got a vibrator! My friend who’s a bit of a sex toy connoisseur told me it’s quite a good, expensive one. I called them and they were insisting I return the bloody vibrator to them before they would give me a refund. I asked them if they were intending to resell it and how could they be sure I hadn’t used it. They agreed to the refund and let me keep it after that! 😀

I ordered a notebook and received a white girls’ crop top aged 9-10 years. I really wanted to send it back because I have three teenage sons… what am I going to do with it?? I put it on Olio but no one wants it.

Ordered two pairs of water shoes (didn't know which size to get) and got one pair (luckily the right size) and a pair of tent pegs.

Was told to keep them and luckily our neighbour just started looking to get camping equipment.

Cheeky bastards accusing you like that!! And you offered to send them back as well! You could always use them as dusters 😆

I’ve ordered loads online and never received anything extra or wrong!

Spent around £250 on a sofa bed for my DP’s brother, they sent the wrong colour (not that he particularly cared!), told them, they said they would either exchange for the correct colour, or refund and we keep it… so we kept it!

I love the thought of your toads having their own house….mine just hunker down in an old terracotta flower pot!

I never thought of dusters!

I gave some away and the rest are somewhere in a cupboard

Honestly,I couldn't believe the tone of the message-i didn't want a freebie-i told them that they'd sent me waaayyy too many and if they sent me a label,I'd post them back

They never did but I was worried about getting bad feedback for ages,even though I'd done nothing wrong

Ordered a garden hose (those bulky ones on a stand), received a giant box of 4, contacted them to return them, they sent another 4...again...and again. I ended up with SIXTEEN hoses, it was like Harry Potters Hogwarts letters. They kept arranging to pick the up then never turning up. In the end I ws giving them away to neighbours and twice, delivery guys.

Ds ordered a 2 seater sofa from John Lewis and they sent the wrong colour.
He ordered Tan and they sent blue.
He contacted them and they said they will send the right one just use the blue until it comes.
Tan one arrives and they wouldn't take back the blue. He contacted them again to be told to
keep the blue one.
Two weeks later another blue one arrives this they took back as ds refused delivery.
Two more weeks and another tan one comes again it was refused by ds.
He received a refund on the first blue one which he didn't ask for.
Thank goodness this was all by email as 6 months later they wanted to charge him for all these sofas.
