Best Amazon order screw-up?

This is a good one I reckon. Order was for a music stand light - instead I’ve just received a cat collar. 🤣 Shame we don’t have a cat really!

Out of the blue I received a box of really nice kitchen equipment from Amazon - wooden chopping boards, fancy egg whisk, bowls. Plus a random IT book. It was all labelled up with my name and address, and no sign that it was a gift (it would have been a slightly odd gift, to be honest). I called Amazon, but all they could say is they had no record of me ordering anything, so they couldn't process a return, and they told me to keep it.

Dh ordered a small computer part and received an upright Vax cleaner.

What had you ordered?

Some budget friendly skin care items. So not a lot of money involved.

I also ended up with a very nice expensive face primer in with my bits and bobs order. I'm like eh! It's not the type I use. I was told to keep it. I hope the person who would have got it did get one replaced, without too much hassle

You’ve all just reminded me of something I’d forgotten! Not Amazon though.
I ordered a solid oak coat rack. With five iron hooks and shelf above. Lovely quality simple item. Was £140. Just right for hallway.
Except they sent me five!
They weigh a ton. I contacted them and asked them to pick up the spares. They asked me to take them to post office. I said not possible as I could barely carry one box in my arms at a time. Can’t park outside post office. Chased them several times but they ignored me so I put them in the garage. Must be two years now.
Why didn’t they want their £560 worth of stuff?!

Ordered 2 plastic storage boxes for crafting for my DM, they came filled with lots of random craft items that I couldn’t return. Still trying to work through the items 10 plus years later.

I ordered Cluedo. I received 2 packs of indigestion tablets and a wrist brace.

And it continues . . . Monday now, another Amazon parcel, a second copy of Gruffalo Granny!

A pack of 2 beauty blenders in addition to what I’d actually ordered. Why can’t I get a free Apple Watch?!

Ordered a greeting card and got a pack of batteries. They refunded and told me to keep the batteries.

I ordered DH a Star Wars puzzle for his birthday. Received... Disney's Frozen beauty set! Was told to keep it, so yes, it got wrapped and given to him! (Was then donated to charity)

I ordered some trainers to find a top of the range smartphone in the box alongside my order, some years ago now mind 😅

Ordered some Apple AirPods, received ..... two apples! Fresh fruit apples.
Less of a screw up and more of a thief with a sense of humour I would think.
Amazon just sent another set of air pods and didn't want the apples back!

I ordered a bag of dog food £23 and got a canvas wardrobe worth £87 and was told to keep it.

Not Amazon but Very. I ordered a printer. They sent two. I returned one and they refunded me the full price so I got one for free and it's still going strong years later. Ordered some dresses in M&S sale. I didn't try them all on as they were for a cruise later in the year. When I finally got round to it I found a really expensive Ghost dress in XS. I was a 16 at the time, but amazingly it fitted and is now my go to dress for every posh occasion. Unfortunately it was far too late to return it.

I’ve never had anything good or extra. One time I ordered an iPad and received a children’s book about crayons instead. When I phone up to tell them there was a mistake, they hung up on me. I ended up having to go to the police.

Ordered a pack of Oral B toothbrush heads, they sent me a whole box which has lasted me 3 years up to now 😂. Same with vitamins I ordered. They gave me 5 boxes instead of 1. I’ve also had random items added to my grocery shop too which I didn’t order either

A mould to make tiny creepy hands. Hadn't even ordered anything!

Shein. Hypodermic needles and syringes packed in with a load of hair accessories I’d ordered for my daughter.

I received a book called “The Body Builder’s Kitchen”. None of us are body builders. I had received all my orders correctly at the time!
