Best Amazon order screw-up?

This is a good one I reckon. Order was for a music stand light - instead I’ve just received a cat collar. 🤣 Shame we don’t have a cat really!

Ordered a kindle fire. The box was damaged so I asked for a new box. They refunded the whole order and sent a new kindle fire. So I had 2 for free! I sold one on eBay and didn’t feel a bit guilty!!

I forget what we had ordered but a high value panini press arrived one christmas eve. I felt terrible that someone wasn't getting their Christmas gift. Amazon told us to keep it.

Unfortunately this one isn’t funny. I ordered a new iPhone, an empty package was delivered (I had photo proof). Amazon refused to refund or deliver a phone & refused to investigate. The police didn’t help. Luckily I’d paid using my credit card. An internet search revealed that it had happened to many other people & some had had to go to small claims court

Just today dh received a left hand crutch, he had ordered a right handed one. Amazon guy was a bit flummoxed, now need to wait for the third party seller to actually reply and send the right one.

I ordered hay for my bunnies and received a big pack of dog food tins. I don't have a dog and was told I didn't need to return them so donated them to the RSPCA.

They were trying to save you from yourself!

Once got sent double my order of pet food, and as I order a month at a time I was pretty chuffed. Also there was no record of a wrong order so I was told to just keep it!

My ex got a big box he hadn’t ordered at all with about 10 electric kettles in it. Have a new kettle to all his relatives.

DH ordered a new bit for his electric vape thing. Received a Playstation 4 when they had just come out. Kept it.

2 mattresses when I’d ordered one.

Ordered a box of Nespresso coffee pods.
Received 8 Ring door bells.

After using it yesterday I was reminded of this one, I ordered one from Selfridges, think it was reduced to £2 or something, and they sent a box of 24 and were nightmares to try and return them so we kept them and handed them out for ages 😂So many relatives have them, friends, a family I was working for at the time

I ordered some hypoallergenic dog grooming bits. I got a door handing shoe rack.

I ordered a sound bar and then something small, I can't remember what, maybe a USB stick.

They delivered the small part but not the sound bar, they said they would send another, then I got a refund and a delivery, so a free sound bar.

I think this is the most bizarre thing I’ve read on here and that is saying something 🤣 who knew you could
order a small singing person from Amazon? 😄

Ordered sheet music for dd.
I have a subscription for 2x big tubs of Marmite (bigger than available in shops).

The warehouse bots put them in the same box. The music was covered in marmite when it arrived!

I ordered a cat trap and got a pasta maker.

Another time I ordered some reindeer decorations for outside. They sent me a tiny acrylic printed with a picture of the decorations.

That’s really creepy!

A Nintendo Wii controller and 3 games, no return address or record of order on the main marketplace sites. I suspect eBay, though, where I listed it all some time later. I didn’t own either a games console or a telly to attach it to.

Nothing so exciting. I ordered a dress for hot summer days at home. I got it as expected. Had parcel arrived the following week with my other ordered items…and another dress! Amazon didn’t want it back so I kept it, buy one, get one free. I was pretty happy but it’s more mundane and not as funny as some on here!

I actually have a photo of him with my husband, they got on really well and we still visit the little fella (I don't want to say his name for data privacy) at least once a year in Blackpool

ordered a bed, one arrived, then I received a phone call asking to arrange delivery of bed, told them it had already arrived. Thanked me for being honest and thought nothing more of it, and a few days later another bed arrived
