I don’t think Joanna Lumley “acts”, as such, she’s just always herself! She was in a Miss Marple years ago, and was exactly the same as on a talk show previously, talking about it! she ramped it up for Ab Fab, then went back to herself in Motherland!
Whats the issue with Elaine Page? I don’t listen to her show as it’s not my sort of music, I’m just curious.

David Jason a NationalTreasure? we came across him in a country hotel, and he was a nasty piece of work.
He had arrived in a helicopter and was obnoxiously making everyone aware that he was there, loudly calling over the staff, ordering them about and getting them to move the furniture around to suit him.
We waited until he had finished his coffee and my daughters (shy early teens) politely asked him for an autograph. He absolutely berated them, called them bloody cheeky in a very loud voice and standing up whilst he did so. They were upset and humiliated , especially after he made such a show of letting everyone know that he, the great actor, had arrived and demanding attention. I understand he might not have wanted to give an autograph but a polite “not today” would have sufficed.
I absolutely despise the odious little creep and wouldn’t be at all surprised if all the rumours about him (some on here - since deleted) are true.
National Treasure? Not in my book.

Dame Judi Dench, Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet - I don't think they can act very well. I don't believe they are the characters - they act like Head Girls in the school play speaking very nicely and going through the correct motions but I don't believe for a second they are the character. Whereas Michael Caine, say - who IS a national treasure and hardly an actor with a wide range - his characters come alive for me.

Dame Judi is pure charisma though.

Mel Hudson and Vicki Pepperdine did a very cruel / accurate parody of Judi & Kate doing the Iris Oscar campaign.

Any celebrity who gets a spot on Gardener's World (to showcase their gardens) who isn't really a gardener. Especially those who don't own a garden at the time and the filming is done from their parents' house (Will Young-although he redeems himself with his mental health content and now he really is doing his own garden). Or those whose Head Gardener and team has devised the whole lot and doesn't get credit. Sorry, that might be a bit off topic, but infuriating none the less. That may also include Mary Berry.
