I’m old and miss all the irrelevant tosh that we used to gibber about. 😁

This is my favourite post in a long time.

The drunken thread was before my time but I’m definitely up for joining a new one! Used to be a two-drinks-a-week gal but all that changed when I moved country and my personal/social life dramatically improved.

DH and I shared a bottle of sparkling wine in bed while watching One Fine Day in bed.

It’s been a very stressful week, we were out drinking with friends Monday night, then had a couple of beers on Wednesday night too. We’ve got a friend’s leaving party tonight which will be a boozy affair so I may come back to this thread then 👀

I remember us all nagging you to get checked out I'm so glad you listened and glad things worked out with the builder

@RosieLeaLovesTea OMG we’re talking years ago 10 maybe 15 years ago I’m guessing (possibly longer) i was always drunk on Friday nights 😂 so memories sketchy.

Using the Gregorian Pulmonary Embolism Calendar System, all that malarkey was in the summer of 2013.

Which just proves that drunk threads save lives.

It did, my husband died from a pulmonary embolism three years ago I wish he had listened to me he would still be here

Well after my drunkest last night I had to have an afternoon nap from 2pm-4pm. I have not done that in a long time. But feel really good now. Debating whether to crack open another bottle. It is bank holiday weekend!

I’m at my local watching the Spurs v Newcastle match (Up the Toon!) and during G&T. I may call on here later a bit worse for wear 😁

Morrisons are having a phase of having a featured £12ish wine at £6ish. Bargainous.

I’ve had both red and white but not in the same week. They sometimes have a special display and you sometimes have to hunt them down on the shelves but there’s been at least one for about the last 4 weeks. Hope it wasn’t an August special!

I used to follow the drunk thread. I recognise a few names on here- @DramaAlpaca , @cardibach and @iCod . Blowed if I can remember what my username was, maybe secretsquirrel? Must be a good ten years or more ago? I might have been on the higher ed threads when both DC were at uni.
